I love Feast Week! I hope Pope schedules some tournaments in the upcoming years again.
Who does Chaminade play?
I was wondering why they have their name on it, but aren’t in it. They are never competitive so it makes sense. They are only in it every other year now.

Yeah, it’s most important to win the first game to get on the right side of the bracket so you don’t get worse than 4th. I think it gets teams used to the tourney format and playing games back to back for later in the year. Also means 1 legit team will lose all 3 games. Ouch.
And yeah I know chaminade has won a game a few times but almost always a win for 7th place team lol.
Me either, sucks it’ll be at least 3 more years until we can be. I think the teams are already set for the next 2 seasonsCant wait until we are back in that.

I remember the good old days where The Great Alaskan Shootout was a big tournament that good teams played in.The fact that Cal took us out of Maui, and left us out, shows how he thought he was bigger than what was going on here. Playing in some stupid ass home classic every year, and then losing in the champions, only to be told we were built for March. Good riddance.
I can tell you one.. John Calipari.
I’m “kinda” that way. But I used to tell my wife that we would go to those when we retired. Cal has saved me a lot of money in that regard. I’m wondering if she remembers.Cant wait until we are back in that.

You’re pretty damn demanding. You realize he would have had to board his dogs , right? The fact that Cal took us out of Maui, and left us out, shows how he thought he was bigger than what was going on here. I remember when they beat Ralph Sampson and Virginia in '82. Imagine if there was internet or social media back then. It would be on people's minds more and live on longer. It was quickly forgotten but that has to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest upset in NCAA history.I was wondering why they have their name on it, but aren’t in it. Field set years in advance so when it was put together Colorado was PAC 12 Iowa St Big 12I thought you couldn’t have more than one team from a conference? How did Colorado and Iowa State end up in there together?

The slick court is sticking in my mind. Maybe it was another court? It is Alaska. I can see that being possible.Do remember that -
Virginia was very very tough in the early 80s
Their gym was like a non-air conditioned (rural) high school facility, right?
Always getting wet and slick on the court?
