Bathrooms as they are now are prime places for bullying, smoking, etc. Here are pictures of what schools have. They need to be designed correctly, like the ones below, but IMO, something like this is actually safer than a closed off restroom area where bullying, fights, etc happen.
Well most people don’t wash hands so just don’t bother:

I haven't seen the specific design, so they might not be 100% spot on, but this is what many of these spaces look like. It's also much safer because many of these spaces have security cameras in the hand washing areas. People just see the term "gender neutral" and freak out without any true context to what these are.If those depictions are indicative of the bathrooms that are the subject of this thread, I think I would feel good as a parent. I would not want kids to be able to lock the doors, because I can think of a lot of problems that may present, but if the teachers and security had keys, that would seem a decent balance of interests. These are far better than having a male who present like a female being permitted into a girls’ bathroom.

I feel so awful for women at all-day events with port-a-potties. That has got to suckI think the term gender neutral seems to be a triggering one and the whole reason for all the caring about what appears to be a mundane issue the more you look at it
So this likely won't cause a general decay of society and we're not in a rapid descent into madness because of this, as was claimed very early in this thread?I haven't seen the specific design, so they might not be 100% spot on, but this is what many of these spaces look like. Because it’s far easier than arguing in perpetuity with the parents of boys in dresses about why they can’t go into the girls’ bathroom. Why are we doing gender neutral bathrooms? What is the purpose?
We'll finally get to see what's in the women's restroom. And I don't mean the women, but if you ever cast a glance as one is walking in there, there appears to be furniture (like couches and stuff)
It's sort of like at the bowling alley, and the mysterious/magical area behind the pins.
There's one positive to all of this. Kids will be shamed into actually performing even minimal hygiene.Well most people don’t wash hands so just don’t bother:
So you find it sane to teach about the caelgenders? Noted.DEPTHS OF LUNACY! LINE IN THE SAND!!
Furthermore, have there been dozens/hundreds/thousands of reported cases of trans women raping random biological women in bathrooms?
At at previous place I worked where we put single use stalls in, we called them "All Use". Seemed pretty simple to me.The worst part is, once they put these bathrooms in these same people will find more shit they need to change and bug us to death about it again.
I’m fine with these bathrooms so can we just make them put no gender sign on the door and be done with this?
How do you know if a person who rapes a biological person is trans? How many rapes do you require before this becomes an issue for you?
I don’t know, maybe enough to justify the hysteria. A handful? Because we also should know that for literally any scenario, one occurrence doesn’t constitute a trend.
If a biological man rapes a biological woman in a bathroom of any sort, we gonna ban bathrooms altogether or are we, I don’t know, going to punish the individual.
I am seeing this issue as a boogeyman based on personal ideologies more than I see it as some kind of new alarming trend running rampant through the US. Unisex restrooms are highly common in other parts of the world. Is there an uptick in bathroom rapes worldwide?
Assuming every trans person is a rapist is as stupid as assuming every straight person is a rapist.
Pardon me for not being afraid of mass rape in school restrooms.
Assuming every trans person is a rapist is as stupid as assuming every straight person is a rapist.
BTW, who said they assume every trans person is a rapist?
Never in my life have I assumed a trans person is a rapist.
Was that just like something you read in a fortune cookie?
True... except for the fact that they are doing this because boys are going into girls bathrooms. Instead of fixing the problem with common sense they are spending tons of money to pretend we don't have a bunch of mentally ill/criminal people running around our schools. I went to school 12 years and we never had a dude go into the womans restroom without severe punishment. At at previous place I worked where we put single use stalls in, we called them "All Use". Seemed pretty simple to me.

I never said you were, man. But this massive hysteria over bathrooms stems from the perception that biological males dressed as women will rape biological females in bathrooms. Therefore, there is an assumption that trans folks will be more prone to commit rape, when data shows almost all rapes are committed against biological women by biological males identifying as men. Is that incorrect?
