Fayette County Schools - Going to Gender Neutral Bathrooms

He can think what he wants but you're using him solely for confirmation bias. Would his findings hold as much weight to you if they were completely opposite? If not, then really the only thing you care about is the fact that he agrees with you.

"Who said anything about this doctor being the go-to for all things gender ideology." Forgive me, were these my words here or yours. I definitely used them first but then you used them and proceeded to retroactively demean me for using them first. Strange.

You accuse others of adding things to your posts. Yet, you are all over the board in doing just that.

I respect a published medical provider who could have a bias in your favor because of his sexuality, but disagrees that there is a scientific foundation to your claims. Yes, I both respect him for his scientific understanding and his bold acknowledgement of the scientific truth in the face of an ugly cult.

As to your admission that I did not use the phrase, if you raise a phrase never before used in the thread pretending I used the phrase, then I am going to conclude you are lost, drunk, or something to the equivalent.

I'm not pushing any agenda. I'm not twisting and turning facts. I could care less if they have boys and girls bathrooms or one bathroom area. I'm just saying I have used these type of bathrooms at airports, conference centers, office buildings, restaurants, etc. Not once did it seem awkward, or weird, or an "agenda". When these things are up and running and kids go about their business with no effects whatsoever, I think people will realize this is much to do about nothing.

If it was much to do about nothing, there wouldn't be a small fortune spent to change it to this way

So basically word salad saying that you respect him because he confirms your belief on the topic.

What the hell are you even talking about? Pretending you used the phrase "gender ideology?" You used the phrase in the literal sentence before you told me to grow up for using the phrase.

I'm not aware if it's costing any more money. I'm sure the architecture firm working on the project told those from the school district that this is the trend in some facility design, so a decision was made to move forward. The term "gender-neutral" used by some is what causes the outrage imo. I worked at a place where we had single use bathrooms/stalls and we just called them "All Use Bathrooms" which is what they are. Anyway, happy Thursday.

You sure seem to be putting a whole lot of weight into what he's saying, even to the point that you
You use the phrase and then ridicule me for using the phrase. How convenient.

You are not very smart.

It sure is. My fault for not realizing that this special chemist that you know is the go-to for all things gender ideology. Do you take his word on everything or just the things that you think too?

This was the first time the phrase was used. You falsely ascribed it to my post.

You are not very smart.
A man who believes he’s much smarter than me once said that if you have to result to insults then you’ve lost the argument. Or something of the sort, who really cares.

I did not falsely do so, I plainly stated that I was the first person to use the phrase, you just didn’t read that part. Here’s me saying so about a page ago:

Wow. Please tell me you are day drinking.

This is an attempt to handle the demands of students who insist on going into the bathroom of their opposite sex. It negates that problem but it creates others.

And of course, it does nothing to address the underlying problem.

You used a random chemist buddy anecdote to try to prove your point, tell me how that’s anything of substance.

You offered nothing. And, the fact that you keep calling him a chemist and denying that he is a published MD is evidence enough that you have nothing at all to offer except what has been spouted by your masters. You have had a loser few days on this board. But, admittedly, you take loser positions.

You were the one that called him a chemist first, I’m just following your lead on that one. I love how triggered you get over the fact that I dismiss your doctor friend as a simple anecdote when that’s exactly what he is.

Do you suck up to all of the published MDs that are out there or just the ones that affirm your beliefs? I must insist on continuing to ask about your confirmation bias since you always seem to want to dodge it.

Your unhealthy need to believe that you could never possibly be wrong about anything sure has made you emotional tonight.

Matteo, do you even have a college degree?

Name your degrees. Let me guess. Sociology and humanities. Lol
Sport management is my first one cause I had a pipeline to go to work for the Orlando Magic then decided against it at the last moment, so admittedly a waste of a degree but still got to take plenty of business classes during my undergrad. After that I got my MBA.

Again, are you going to answer the question or continue to avoid it?

So the construction cost and materials were completely free? Wow what a deal.

Well, you have to pay for bathrooms either way, whether they are 2 separate spaces or one space. From a plumbing, materials cost, etc, I’m not sure it would cost any more.

I just don’t think it creates other problems. These type of bathrooms have existed in other places for many moons and I don’t believe they create problems.

Whoa!. On the surface that sounds like it would be a neat gig. What made you change your mind?
Took a family trip down to Orlando the summer before I was set to graduate and I just realized that it wasn’t the place for me to be, that on top of a bunch of other tiny things that kept telling me not to go.
It helps that the Magic are the bottom feeders of the league year in and year out.

The guys that play and work for the bottom feeders in pro leagues get paid like the guys that work for the teams that are winning.

As a man, I'm against gender neutral bathrooms, because now, ALL the lines are going to take forever. Men could always count on a swift moving line. (and then an inevitable 10 minute wait for your g/f/wife to re-appear (which meant you could post up in the beer line, near the women's exit.

Other than that, meh...

Barn8 in Louisville has this set up. It works well. I guess if I was having an explosive moment in my private room, it might be a bit more uncomfortable, depending on who else was in the area.

Some grade schools have a rule that no adult uses the kids bathroom. That is a sound rule. I think if I had a grade schooler, especially a little girl, I am not sure I would want them going into Barn8’s unisex bathroom alone. The configuration, if I recall, is a long hallway-like sink area with the doors to the toilets on the other side. Seems predators will try to find a way to take advantage of that configuration, so parents should be on guard. Literally.

Very true but my take home pay if I had ended up there would’ve been a struggle with Orlando’s cost of living compared to my current situation.

Entry level pay for NBA franchises is not great. It is about getting in the door so that you begin that climb.

That was indeed the plan. I guess at this point we're just gonna accept the convenient dodging of the question that I've asked you a solid four times now.

Plus if you don't like that, you can choose to leave or not return. Public school attendees don't have that choice.

If you are talking about your snarky question about my friend, it has been fully answered to the extent it deserves any answer.

If they’re designed like I think, they’re perfect for some illicit goings on. Completely sealed off stalls?

I don’t see any way a school system allows children to lock themselves in a bathroom with no way to access it unless all the teachers have key to bathrooms. First time some kid ODs or whatever and they can’t get it, that shit is gone.

There are loads of reasons this is an awful idea, but the one single agenda trumps everything. So it moves forward

Bathrooms as they are now are prime places for bullying, smoking, etc. Here are pictures of what schools have. They need to be designed correctly, like the ones below, but IMO, something like this is actually safer than a closed off restroom area where bullying, fights, etc happen.
