Fantasy Football

Brutal.

I would go ahead and grab Seattle Defense if you still can. I grabbed them earlier in this week figuring there was no way Nabers was coming back from that concussion so quick.

And without Nabers, and possibly Singletary, the Giants will score to even put a point on the board against a pretty solid defense.
This is good advice. Seattle has already been a good streaming defense a couple weeks for me so far. Just added them now in one league.

What do y'all think of the Chargers defense?

I've still got the battered Pats D (now sans Jabrill Peppers, as of today) vs. Miami this week, but I dropped Iosivas and picked up the Chargers D. I don't know much about 'em, but they've performed fairly well so far and they've got what *should* be some easy games over the next month.

A good stash because New England as a whole just can't be trust to not allow points on the board, no matter how solid their defense might be.

So I'd keep chargers and maybe even play them this week (if not for Miami)... they have two solid edge rushers, a coach who I think is in the top 1/3rd of the league.

I think their Defense will fare much better against Denver than my Jet did. Better coaching and they don't have the glaring weakness on run defense like we do.

With you this week on Dontavian Wicks. Made some adjustments adding Wicks in a open spot from all of the players I have on IR now. Should be in line for another good week with Jayden Reed drawing most of the attention, Doubs suspended and Watson doubtful. In one league, I have Adams out with a hamstring issue/trade drama, Rashee Rice & Nabors out. Nabors, Shakir both out in another with Tyreek Hill having Tyler Huntley at QB. Josh Downs with Joe Flacco throwing to him has played well with Richardson out. Watching him and Xavier Legette if Diontae Johnson gets traded. Xavier would become Carolina's number one receiver. Had a decent game last week vs Cincinnati and Johnson has played much better since the QB change.

Thinking about grabbing Rams WR Whittingham in my 12 team league. But not sure I could start him over Olave, Terry or BTJ.

You guys have got me wanting Wicks. He's still available in my league. I'd rather have Iosivas back though, because I've only got one Bengals player on my roster (Brown), which isn't ideal for me (it's not enough for me to win -- I've gotta do it with guys I like). I'm gonna try to get him back after I'm done using the Pats against Miami, regardless of who's available on the wire. XD

Well I guess sitting Wilson was not my best move this week. Still should win though. I started him in my other two leagues and it worked.

That Seattle defense lol. 4th and 1 on the 1.. touchdown defense lolol.

Chase going bananas today.

The Daniels and Washington stack was actually TOO good today.. best Cleveland so bad they were all basically done by the 4th.

Josh Allen has been rather disappointing in fantasy with his inconsistency for one of the best QBs in the game. Shakir being out should not have caused this performance. He is no Stefon Diggs. As good as James Cook has been, can't blame it on his volume carrying the ball with only 2 games rushing the ball over 11 times.

Game 1 31 points
Game 2 9 points
Game 3 31 points
Game 4 7 points
Game 5 14 points

They are probably the most erratic team through 5 games. Their first 3 games they looked like far and away the best team in the NFL. Then they look absolutely awful against Ravens.. and more of the same today against the Texans until they make a strong come back to almost win it late.

So fitting for this wild and unpredictable season in fantasy football. You know you're doomed when a D/ST is your highest scoring fantasy performer. With my 3 teams, in a good position to go 2-1 compared to last week. Coleman with another week for the Bills where being a TD-dependent receiver is the only way he is relevant in fantasy so far. Wicks today, smdh. Can't wait for fantasy basketball now.

I agree on Wicks. I mean you lose two receivers and you actually do worse? Against the Rams?

I dropped a lot of FAAB on Wicks and had to start him. Got me 3 points. Should still win but the dude has stone hands. Had the Love/Wicks stack in a bunch of dailys as well. He did me no favors there either.

Wicks might take more time to get going. Love is still pretty new, and hes coming off an injury. I'd still hold a bit longer, especially because Watson just can not stay healthy. And also Kraft had a YUGE game.

5-0 - Crushing this league, but there's a team in the fold who I swear somehow has top10 guys at every position. I think he will ultimately win.
3-2 - 12team league, can't catch a break with injuries. I seem to have 2 of my top7 out for the last 4 weeks. Amazing I'm not in dead last. And Derek Carr going down kills my Olave play, so this week is another one where I'll be down 2-3 guys.
3-2 - Started out slow in this league, but I have the most points scored. I figure this is probably the worst my record will look.

Yeah I'm not getting rid of him but I won't sit Wilson again. He finally showed a good game.

As a Jets fan, I'm pretty intune with the happenings of this dog shit franchise.

I probably wouldn't sit Wilson either, BUT the Bills are gonna be pissed, and I'd say even if we somehow land Davanate Adams TODAY, He's not gonna be playing this week regardless.

Rodger definitely looks to have taken a step back or two, he's not the guy he was. Our coaching is quite possibly the WORST in the league, so I don't expect Wilson to get any juicy routes or help there. It will be the same predictable and dumb play calling and that will hurt any and all Jets players.

Come to think of it, if you went heavy on receivers and you have a solid 3rd or 4th guy.. I actually would consider starting him.

The minute that nut sack Hackett gets fired, then you fire up every and any Jet on offense because the replacement will be an immediate upgrade.

how are they not going to fire that moron Hackett? He has destroyed Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. Need him gone asap.

Front office is a mess, Aaron likes Hackett, I have no idea why. He has to see that he's holding the offense back.

Jets likely going to be 2-5 and Hackett will be gone by then, that's my prediction. And then..

Fire up those Jets, BABY!

Could also be that the coach was resisting a move to get Adams. That would go against Aaron and whatever he wants he gets.

Nodded off during the late 2nd quarter/halftime just to come around for the 4th. Definitely needed that last Dak touchdown.
Went into the game with Dak's touchdown up 18pts. He had Kelce and after the first half it looked like I was toast. But then they tried to get the TD for Kelce and he took that hard hit at the goal line and did not factor in anymore. Won by 2.

Could be. It's a real bad love triangle. But I it would be real dumb of Saleh to block the Davante trade.

What I love about this though, is that for the first time in almost 15 years, the Jets are actually a (somewhat) desirable landing spot for a coach. We could take a run at Detroits Ben Johnson, maybe Vrabel, maybe even Bill B.

I really wish the Giants would have truly tanked because I would take Daboll in a heart beat.

Obvious RB waiver wire if not already rostered : Tank Bigsby. I told my son to add him before last week, He didn't listen. Now he knows it will tough to get him. The last two weeks, 13 rushes / 90 yards, and last week was his breakout game, 13 rushes for 101 yards (2 TD's) and 1 reception for 28 yards. Even going back to week 1, he had 12 rushes for 73 yards. in the 3 games he has been involved in the offense, he has totaled 264 yards on 32 carries (whopping 8.25 YPC) and 2 TD's. He MAY be headed for RB1. Etienne is only averaging 3.7 YPC on 231 yards and with 53 rushes and only 2 TD's rushing.

What will be the bid for him ? $25 / $30 ?

WR adds :
Jaylen Tolbert - (Dallas) With Cook out, he is the clear #2 and gets as many targets as Lamb (double teamed)
Josh Downs (Indy)- Solid week in week out.

Deep add : Ray Ray McCloud (ATL). The targets the last 2 weeks, 9 and 7. 6 receptions each week totaling 123 yards. The TD \'s haven't came yet, but he is showing consistent production. DD points averaged. Where I think ATL needs to use him more is jet sweeps and handoffs out of the backfield. He is extremely talented, a big game is coming, Landon and Mooney get all the attention, but McCloud would be a nice #4/5 receiver. He will get solo coverage and has the ability to break one. After the 500 yards from Cousins, ATL may have found something. Spread the defense out and spread the ball around. There are worse options, but he is a solid deep / flier add.

Disagree as to your second paragraph. Woody Johnson having security escort a well respected guy like Saleh out is a terrible look. And the most important part of any team is the QB. Their guy is or will be shortly 41 and is a pain in the butt. Obviously there are only 32 jobs, so someone will be stoked to take it, but I don't think one of the front line up and comers like Johnson would be interested. Bill B might be the guy for a year or two until Aaron is gone and they have to rebuild.

Im bidding $31 right now for Tank, and I have $88 left. I might bid more, but that league I'm pretty good with RBs with Kyren/BRob/Conner/Dowdle.

But I might throw in $41 (always go a dollar more than the standard 0 and 5 ending amounts). I also put in $6 for Tyrone Tracy. I'm not as confident that Tracy will take over that backfield.. BUT... Singletary really isnt' that good, and he's never been the talent that ETN is, so who knows.

I think Woody is a terrible owner, but there's nothing you can do about that. And Aaron will be out of the league in 2 years.

But, we have an up and coming O-line with three starting talents under 25 years of age, we have maybe the best defensive backs, and we have maybe the best RB room as well. Someone is going to want to take a chance on that.

I also think the Jets took Jordan Travis in the 4th round, specifically to swing for a replacement QB. Word is that if he didn't get injured mid-season at FSU, he was going to be a 2nd round QB pick up, in a pretty heavy QB draft. No reason to think he can't be on the same level as Bo Nix.
