Evan Daniels on Humphries.

If hump goes I wish him well it won't be in the NBA but will open the door for skj to prove himself plus it really helps with bamba even though I feel his decision has no bearing on him. Cal needs bamba and a couple of good shooting guards, you know ones that can actually shoot. If we get them we are in good shape. I don't think we get Knox which I can live with but we need shooters, you can never have too many. Green can run the point and I think shai is capable as well but he will have some growing pains

UK will be losing 95.5% of its scoring from this past season. According to Twitter that is the most in NCAA history for a team to lose from one season to the next.

If Wenyen leaves it would be 99%

The top returning scorer would be Tai Wynard at 0.7 points per game.

Cal seriously has to get this under control. Getting totally out of hand.

Professional as in Australian leagues?

Because he's not going to the NBA right now. He could, however, work his way up via the international ranks. He's still young.

We are #1 in everything.

Cal not going to be happy....messy with his 'one announcement per day' schedule! LOL! Was this the announcement for tomorrow?

but it hasn't really been an issue. This year was bad because we had 3 seniors.

Not true at all. If this is about the players, then you have to support them whether it is good for the team or not.

Not totally true. According to Chad Ford, Cal has had more guys leave early and go undrafted or get drafted in 2nd round than KU, UNC, and Duke combined since he has been at UK.

Guys leaving early when they shouldn't has been an issue.

That's not a good look either, I don't care how someone slices that up. College can also "protect" some of these guys futures. UK can get you a diploma, perks in the state, relationships etc. leaving and bombing out isn't helping anyone, not Cal, not UK, not the player.

I am talking about end results.

If he leaves too, the only returning player with any significant minutes played will be Gabriel. Yikes.

If Humphries leaves I feel like it won't be because of the draft, but I could be wrong. I think Isaac proved in spurts this year that he could be a Kaminsky type of stretch 5, at the very least in a reserve role because of his limited athleticism. If I were him and I were intent on leaving just to benefit my development, I'd consider transferring to a school that would allow me to play that way -- a program like Michigan.

Cal just doesn't have much patience for that style of play at UK.

If it's true that he's thinking about Australia, I'd be perplexed but it's his choice. Isaac is a unique kid.

Hump is not an NBA player. If he can make money going back home and playing in Australia, that is good for him.

and never will be. i dont get why fans find it so hard to understand that these guys just want to play ball for a living and the NBA isnt the end all be all.

why would hump stay another year and watch BETTER players (bamba/richards) play when he can go home to Australia and play for a some cash?

The nonsense mass exodus would be fine if the Cats won a title. But after an elite 8 loss...kinda silly

People are actually upset by this? Like we didn't know this would be the trend after the first year that Cal was here. We will still compete for NC's every year except we will do it with new players every year. Gotta take the good with the bad with Cal at UK. I have just accepted that this is how it will be at UK until Cal decides to retire or leave. I am perfectly fine with it.

I would still like to see the list of guys who left early that went either undrafted or in the second round. I think these numbers are not as drastic as the claim since we have probably had more guys drafted in the first round than all of those schools combined as well.

Yes. Rumor is he's interested in going home.

Which, frankly, would be a pretty good deal for him--he'd make nice money in the Australian League, get to play in front of the home folks/family, be a local star, while living by a sunny Aussie beach--sure sounds like a good life to me.

The one title featured 2 elite sophomores and a great, NBA caliber senior. You see that happening again anytime soon?

hope not...uk fans dont deserve it with how they act and treat players who dont do what they think they should do

The people saying Isaac will never play in the NBA are speaking waaaaay too soon. Keep in mind that he's young for his class and bigs with his skill set can really develop from 18 to 22 years old. Never thought Harrellson would sniff the league and he made some checks.
