Dane Key

Shorts committed 2 years to Stoops, left after one, and took Dane with him.

It's time the admin put big buyouts in the assistant coaches contracts.

That being said, his receivers consistently underperformed and cost their team big time with ego penalties this past year. He either had no control over his position group, or he's the reason they didn't have their heads in the game.

Pretty shocking he'd turn down Georgia. Downright frkn cra-cra. But it's his life and his right. I guess either the limelight or having to fight for his spot wasn't what he was ready for.

We are a lightweight with NIL, but with his GF on softball team thought he might land at UGA. Miss on the QB too. But I think he was wanting assurances on playing time, that doesn't happen.

I believe there is a buyout

Lightweight isn’t the word, IMO. Selective is probably more like it. Kirby isn’t going to break the bank for any non UGA kid. The collective is well funded, but most goes toward our own kids that have proven themselves, and the rest will go to 3-5 guys in spring/summer to address unexpected portal entrants and unexpected draft goers. We’ve rarely been active in the early portal window.

We have gone 0 for signing day, 0 for the portal. Wanted all we .missed on, call it whatever you like, it's hurting us and it is going to show up next year.

Very anti climactic finish to his story.

Heard lots of talk about him being so coveted and looking at a big contender type program.

Nebraska…come on now
He may not personally care about his legacy, but he could have been an all-timer. It's rare for players to stick around for 4 years and play a significant role. He is from Lexington too, and he might still carry some respect locally, but it won't be what it could have been all for just one season at Nebraska.

Good luck to him, but I won't see him as "one of us" ever again. And this is unfortunate because I think that he loved being a Wildcat up until this last season.

I find it funny a lot of the guys that transferred out transferred to places like USC, LSU, Nebraska, South Carolina, and other big time schools. We were told they suck and that we wouldn’t miss them but apparently they were thought of pretty highly to sign with the said schools above!

before you find it funny let's see how they do at those schools
we had two that went to Colorada, how did that work out
every school has to fill portal exits with portal guys since recruiting high school kids is over
