Dane Key

We wanted him, thought he was coming after the visit. Either he wanted to play for his old position coach or gave more NIL.

Pretty shocking he'd turn down Georgia. Downright frkn cra-cra. But it's his life and his right. I guess either the limelight or having to fight for his spot wasn't what he was ready for.

Shorts committed 2 years to Stoops, left after one, and took Dane with him.

It's time the admin put big buyouts in the assistant coaches contracts.

That being said, his receivers consistently underperformed and cost their team big time with ego penalties this past year. He either had no control over his position group, or he's the reason they didn't have their heads in the game.

We are a lightweight with NIL, but with his GF on softball team thought he might land at UGA. Miss on the QB too. But I think he was wanting assurances on playing time, that doesn't happen.

I believe there is a buyout

Lightweight isn’t the word, IMO. Selective is probably more like it. Kirby isn’t going to break the bank for any non UGA kid. The collective is well funded, but most goes toward our own kids that have proven themselves, and the rest will go to 3-5 guys in spring/summer to address unexpected portal entrants and unexpected draft goers. We’ve rarely been active in the early portal window.
