D-League

Good morning folks. Back to the upper teens in the east. But early reports on pitchers and catchers from Florida so spring can’t be far behind.

VH, Four Mile Creek which comes in off the River a couple miles west of the Grove and circles behind the town will be flooded at 53 feet, and the backwater will be up in the fields behind 3rd and 4th streets, but no water in basements yet.

Cats with a near-desperate situation tonight. I hope they play that way. Sick about these injuries which have jeopardized this really fun season.

Subway pulling into my station, under the arena where the Wizards and Capitals play. Have a great day.
The game maybe tomorrow night, I could be wrong, Mrs. M says I am most of the time! If I am ever right I get to mark it on the calendar!!!

Some people worried about not making NCAA tournament. 2 more wins gets us in imo. UK with 19 wins or better is in. Money drives the train and the UK brand along with how many UK fans travel every year makes this possible. If we could just get everyone healthy by the SEC tournament, this is possible. I believe tonight and one more win by the end of SEC tourney and were are in.

Edited: Game vs Vandy is tomorrow night.

Finishing up packing this morning and off to FL after lunch. We'll drive half way today.

We still don't have water here since yesterday morning....have power. If you see pics of a huge slip (mudslide) in the Fleming-Neon area that is in our county 20 minutes away. Edit: There is a pic of it in RR thread "Eastern KY Flooding". We're high enough that we don't worry about flooding, but we worry about slides.

I hope everyone has a great day and hope it's spring in KY by the time I get back.

Thank you Sir. Yeah, me too.... went to a cardiologist today myself. Caught a quick appointment. Have to schedule another nuclear stress test study whatever that is...told her let me look at my work schedule and call tomorrow. I didn't have my work phone with me at the time to check my calendar. We shall see....... at LEAST my BP was back to normal, had a serious episode a couple weeks ago but am told it was stress, but I do not stress. NEVER have had BP issues which is what alarmed me. Me just being angry with some work leadership... MTF on that one when I can. Thanks again...
Take it from an old man who has had open heart surgery; the nuclear stress test is easy, just time consuming. It is the best way to examine the conditions of your veins, even in your neck. Just take your phone and read. My last one was several hours long.

Md, they're now saying 55' tonight.

Walking the monster this morning with 14° temp and a wind chill factor of -16°. Wind was blowing it up. Also had a light mist of ice coming down which made the road slippery. While going out the back way to take the small streets we were going across the back neighbor's driveway when I slipped and went down. Luckily reflexes still good enough to get my hands down to break my fall and not break anything else. Hoping not to be seen, I scrambled up as quickly as I could and got on the grass. As I tried to continue going to the road, the monster got in front of me and stopped me looking up as if to ask if I was alright. She blocked my path twice as I tried to go on until I bent down to pet her and let her know I was alright. Once I did that, she turned around and started walking again.

Surprised me how she would not let me continue on until I petted her to let her know I was ok. Dogs are great.

Thank you Sir. I had one where they put some sort of IV in my arm back in 2019 and I hit the treadmill. The lady mentioned doing something like that again and some other sort of procedure. This is a new cardiologist that is a lot closer to my house. Figured I'd make my appointments better. My BP is around where it normally is now and that was a huge concern to me. I feel fine, (Now watch me drop over.) In any event, I am thankful. I told My Darling I want to live one day longer than her.

Been at it today and was off a half day for doctor things for My Darling. heading back to the Swamp tomorrow and Thursday if the Lord doesn't take me home. Thanks again and God Bless you all and your families... (I do not state that lightly.) I know I'd enjoy being around any and all of you.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 23°F, cold and windy. We may hit 33°F for today's high.

Commodores at Rupp tonight. Go Big Blue!

Happy Hump Day.

Morning Legionnaires!

3° this morning with 25-30mph winds making the wind chill factor -32°. Might miss the monster walk this morning as the winds are supposed to go all day and the high to get up to only 19°. Had the water running in the sinks all night and running still.

Turned the heat down to 60 on the thermostat last night because I like it cold in the bedroom. Woke up this morning with the temp in the bedroom at 54°. Turned the heat up to 70 at 0415 this morning and it has only gone up to 66° in 2 hours. Wind is keeping the heat from getting to the desired temp faster.

So much for that...Mike, Mike, Mike, What day is it?! Well, you know...the thing.

You folks be careful out there today and grind over that hump, slide down the other side, and get home safely for tonight's game.

God Bless the D-League.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 21°F and clear. Windy. Could climb above freezing later for a 34°F high.

Dell sent my laptop back. Thought "oh, goody, it's repaired". wrong answer. They failed to repair the PC. Called Dell Ttech Support again. Sending back to repair depot in Houston on Friday.

Daughter called at 10 pm last night about upcoming Florida trip. We were on the phone for about an hour.

Wishing y'all a great day.

Good morning folks.

Man, what a relief that the Cats thrashed Vandy last night, despite the injuries. Five regular season games to go, including three very tough ones against highly ranked teams. If the Cats can somehow go 3-2, that’d be terrific. Pope has made really nice adjustments with this team, and more important, has kept the confidence there even if guys like Perry and Chandler.

Heading into work. Have a great day guys.

Morning Legionnaires!

4° this morning with a wind chill of a -23°. Wind continues to blow like a Calipari coached basketball team in March. Today's high to be in the mid 20's.

Still got out yesterday and walked the monster even though the weather was frigid. I was a little cool, but I had bundled up enough that I was not uncomfortable. She was not phased a bit as that thick coat protects her very well. Will go out again today as she won't let me alone if we don't.

Wife baked a no sugar cake with some protein and no sugar frosting on top. I could tell, while not bad tasting, it was not something I would eat as a cake most of the time. Very dry. It messed with our stomachs a bit as it had me in the bathroom a couple of times because she also added some fiber.

Well folks, we are winding down towards the weekend so, be careful out there and God Bless.

Good morning everyone

Brrrr. Hate to hear how cold most of you are while I'm on the beach waiting on the sunrise. Low 50's here with a wind chill in the 40's maybe 30's right here in the sand.

Great game, well 2nd half last night. Just got to get our forwards to rebound the ball. Happy for Chandler...he may be the missing piece if the others don't get back. Oh, thanks to wifey for letting me watch the game while on vacation.

High in the 50's here today. Better than home. Have a great day.

Nice game Cats!!

Sensational 2nd half!! Chandler played well. How big would it be to steal a win in Tuscaloosa Saturday?

Noticed in the first half we were giving up too many second and third attempts because of rebounding. The second half we did better and when that happens, we get a lead and keep it. Good game for us.
Good game.

I sure wish the best to Butler, Robinson & Kriisa. Hopefully we can see Butler and Robinson later this season.

I am a broken record: why in hell on UK's home court does UK always get more or as many fouls called on UK as on the opponent?

Good, morning D, we need the D to say a prayer for us today. A few months after Mrs. M and I got married in 1998, our neighbors next door had a baby girl, after she learned to walk, it wasn't unusual for her to walk over to our house. A few years later she would wander over and ask us if we had any popcorn and pink lemonade! This young lady gave birth to a baby girl one year ago. February 13 she went into labor with her second baby and tragically she passed away giving birth. We will be attending her funeral today. She was like our first granddaughter to us! She leaves behind two babies that will only have memories kept alive through her family and friends. This brings back a flood of memories of when we lost JP, going to be a rough day! Thanks D!
