37° this morning with a high in the mid to upper 60's expected.

Winning. I wanted to beat UL down, but rivalries are what they are. Most of the time you can throw away records when playing them. I will take a win anytime over a loss.

Wow, Butler is our player that has to be on the court. I hope this doesn't give him the big head and start jacking up threes. I suspect he'll be guarded better outside now. I'm really enjoying this team.

I did some maintenance work on the hiking trail yesterday. Digging sure gets my lower back. Rest day today....I hope.

Good morning folks. Happy Sunday.

Exciting game yesterday and nice win for the Cats. I was more than satisfied. I think some of our fans underestimate Louisville a bit. They'll finish up about 4th-5th in the ACC and maybe make the tournament I believe. They dominated Indiana and led Duke for 3/4ths of the game. By the same token, I think people may be expecting a bit too much out of this Kentucky team. It doesn't have the athleticism to really shut down teams on the defensive end, or dominate on the boards. Weighing all that, it took a really fine offensive effort and Butler taking over the game for the Cats to hold that 7-10 point margin most of the game and answer every time challenged. I was well pleased.

Warming up just a bit here. Yesterday it was 21f for my run and today a much toastier 26f. Hope you folks have a great day.

I sure don't remember that time period... I was young during the Detroit riots... I remember the riots sitting on the roof of our house/ apartment. In checking I didn't think he played that early in the 60's but I guess he did. He sure tore up the 70's... and early 80's...

The bloom is off the rose some. Knee swelled after first day of walking as ordered. Surgeon says it’s expected. Therapist said same. Feels improved after therapy. Wore me out. Took good nap. Hopefully I’ll move forward from here.

Down to two issues: knee swelling that restricts motion a bit & the dam clicking/popping of the knee when I step. Not taking any pain meds. So overall I think I'm in a good place five days in. Swelling is normal and takes weeks to several months to fully subside. Clicks should reduce in loudness over time also. Hardest thing is getting used to trusting the new knee for support. But it's solid. Mind still keeps remembering that knee being weak. I do best when I'm half asleep/distracted & don't think about it. Will be doing home PT later this a.m. Oh yes, Good Morning. 50F in NKy.

Good morning folks. Warmer today -- 36f when I went out for my run. Working from home.

I have some big projects due early in January and trying to get ahead of the work before Christmas. I guess it'll settle down for a few days right at the end of the year.

Yesterday was my son's birthday and he spent it on an epic drive from Blythe, California to Burnet, Texas, which is about 1,200 miles. He made it home safe by about 10pm est last night, so I got to wish him a happy birthday. He was happy with the deployment to Arizona, and said the guy in charge of the work was so impressed by him that he is nominating him for some sort of government service award. Makes us proud.
