D-League

Good morning from ATX. Currently 50°F, clear with a light breeze from the south. Today's high may tie or break records into the 80s.

Priced tickets for Feb 15 Cats vs Horns game. $246 is lowest. Crappy seats near ends of court. Screw that. I ain't going.

Read Kerr Kriisa out between 3-6 weeks until indefinitely. Hate to hear it. Love his energy. During bus ride back from airport, fellow passenger also Estonian. Spoke with him briefly. He was unsure if he'd heard of Kerr. Oh, well, made for good conversation.

Monday, Monday....

Wishing y'all a great start to your week.

Lovely Pita Gyros. Chowed down while watching St. Pauli vs Kiel soccer game.

Planning on going to the UK vs OU game on 26 Feb however, I have not checked the prices yet. We shall see.

Good morning folks.

Back to the normal world for me. Settling into work from home. It’s a busy day catching up.

I finally got to watch the Gonzaga game after my drive yesterday. It’s easy to love this team. To come that far back against a high quality team is on the level of the Duke comeback in 1998, though of course the stakes weren’t as high.

Thanks again to those who wished a recovery for my dad. He seemed to be doing much better by the time I left yesterday.

Have a good day folks.

I just got an order for 12 of 6-20-12.5 shades to ship to Yosemite National Park. I don't have a price list in front of me, but I will probably charge 9 or 10 dollars. Fed Ex will probably charge 100 or so for shipping. The guy I sell to will add on his profit. He sells to Guest Supply who will add on their profit. Guest Supply wanted to deal directly with me several years ago and they are the big shot in hospitality supplies, but there were to many hoops to jump through and I like things simple.

Md, how will the subways fill up if Trump's Crew forces Fed employees to come into work?
I'm usually on the subway into town at about 5:30am, and out of town at 7pm. I wouldn't expect to be crowded by too many Assistants to the Executive Secretary for the Deputy Undersecretary of HHS or the like at those hours. Now, if I was riding at 9:30am and 4:30 pm...

But hey, I almost forgot that my father was well enough to tell a rehab center joke this weekend.

An old woman sets her sights on this old guy while both are rehabbing from operations at an in-person facility, and talks him in to visiting her when both are discharged by bragging about what a great cook she is.

When he shows up, she sets him down and serves him a steaming bowl.

"How is it?" she says.

"Uh, pretty good I guess," the guy answers.

"My two specialties are Peach Cobbler and Beef Stew," she brags.

"Which is this?" he asks.

Sir,

Thanks for all but true Executive and higher tenured GS-15's normal work hours are some where between 10:30 (After rounds for free food and coffee with personal stories...) and 2PM to include an hour to an hour and a half for "lunch"...)

Good morning from ATX. Currently 49°F and clear. Today's high may reach 58°F. Colder temperatures coming.

My wife has late-stage kidney failure. She may require dialysis. More info coming.

Chemo for me today. Leave here around 10:30 am.

Wishing y'all a good one.

Boiled Beef, "Bamberg Style", with horseradish sauce and potato dumpling.

Good morning folks. Chugging downtown on the subway. It is an eerie, foggy morning in DC. I went for a walk earlier and street lamps were just a yellow smear from 30 yards away. Driving was interesting.

The Bungles beat the Cowboys in the season’s biggest disappointments bowl —naturally they won on a mistake when the Cowboys blocked a punt but instead of falling on it for a winning field goal a lineman tried to pick it up and the Bengals recovered.

You folks have a good day.

Morning Legionnaires! 36° this morning with a high in the mid 40's and moderate winds.

@MdWIldcat55 Yeah, turned the game off when they (Bungals) were 4th and 27 at their own 29 or whatever it was expecting another late game loss. Thought I had lost a bet I had made with a friend just minutes before the game started for a 5th of TX whiskey for him or a 5th of Jim for me. Sometimes, luck wins out.

@AustinTXCat Prayer sent up for both of you. Tell her we are thinking of her and you so keeping on fighting and God Bless.

Have a good day folks and take care.

So sorry to hear that brother ATXC.... Will keep both of you in prayer.

I left "driving" this morning. Normally I am able to arrive at work about 0640 or so.

Did not arrive this morning until 0740....

Just crazy how drivers here MUST be first even if it is fighting to get one car length ahead.

Four or five wrecks. I stopped counting in this wet, foggy weather...

Have a fine day...

Best of luck to both you and your wife.

Just anecdotal on the economy, but I was talking to the guy I buy wire from today. He is by far the major supplier of lamp shade wire in America. He said his customers are very slow, especially smaller ones. One guy who supplies lamps and shades to furniture stores in Florida averages selling 300 a month. Last month he sold one. He had other examples, but this was the worst.

Yes Sir,

And today as expected the news stating the inflation at 2.7%.... Yeah, right...

Had my knee replacement this a.m. So far, so good. Good range of motion immediately - sit on the john easily, pickup items from floor. Very little pain. BUT, the nerve block is still active. See what tomorrow brings.

Good morning folks. Lackluster outing for the Cats.

I suspect after the early lead against a weak team with no real chance to win, Pope decided two things: 1. See if Perry or Chandler can play real minutes yet (no.) 2. Don’t show anything the Cats plan to use in the Louisville game.

Do need a point guard and that means Butler back and 100 percent. I think he plays against Louisville but not sure he’s all the way back.

Last work day downtown this week. Nice sunrise visible from the subway. Another beautiful day. Hope you all enjoy it.

NCAA president says they're making progress in expanding the NCAA basketball tournament to 72-76 teams. I am not a fan of this. Leave it be. Personally, I'm not a fan of the play-in games either.
Nor am I. The NCAA is a bad organization. Get rid of them and the large conference do their own tourney and stop the money flow to Indianapolis.

Sunny and a cold 30°F here on our way to 41°.

I posted this on the political thread, but thought some on here might want to see it. A SS agent missed would be assassin 6 times at 5 feet.
