D-League

Disappointed.

Florida shot out their asses from the three, season average is 33.7%, last night was 42.9%. Florida can't shoot free throws, for the season it is 69% last night it was 81.8%. The problem is that KY shot only 64.7% of our free throws. Hit our normal average and we win.

More fouls called on Florida than UK but still Florida gets more free throws. Thank god for SEC officiating.

I am not sold on this team. We apparently have talent out the ass but when is it going to show up?

Man,

I know I'm not so gone I cannot come back. That loss is STILL bugging me badly. AT least I know if it is bothering me this much, I still love the Cats! I still love UK Men's basketball... At least that's something. Not sure I'd P_SS on Cal though, even if he was on fire... He sickens me from afar as I've never met him... Don't want to either...

Good morning and Happy Friday from In-Town Suites in North Austin. Currently 60°F and cloudy. We could max out around 66°F. Showers on the way tonight.

Hopefully going home this afternoon before rain and thunderstorms begin. COVID no joke.

Wishing all an awesome end to your work week.

Good morning folks. Hard at work early, trying to get enough done that we can head for the Delaware Beach around 4pm. It's a little more than a two-hour drive with light traffic, which we should have today.

It's an odd time to go to the beach, but my wife wants to run a race there, I may hobble along for 5K, and there are always a few nice restaurants to hit in that part of Delaware that stay open year round. At worse, a change of scenery and pace without a lot of hassles.

Heard from my son. He's off on a U.S. F&W expedition to New Mexico, working with some senior biologists on a trout spawning venture. He's having fun and feeling engaged in a useful activity. All I could hope for.

Back to work. Hang in there, guys. The Cats might figure this out yet.

My granddaughter's birthday was yesterday (Was at the Cheese Cake Factory (Not a big fan as no food My Darling likes.)), my nieces birthday is today. (I may contact her but I am a little purterbed at my two nieces who have sort of dis-owned their Mom, my sister. (Caveat, may be with cause if there ever could be a full cause.) (they are both in decent relationships and stable.) My brother and I, (My Brother mostly, is dealing with some issues that maybe he should not be dealing with...) (Have to watch my Ps and Qs as I am the youngest by a lot.)... Things could be better. (Say a prayer if you've a mind to...) The Groundhog brought this up... ;)

Good morning folks. Waking up in the nice little beach town of Lewes, Delaware. We rented a creaky old cabin that looks like it’s about a hundred years old. Ah well. I slept okay.

On the way here we passed through a small Delaware farm town. I told my wife I got a ticket there at like 4am the first time I came to the beach in the late 1970s.

And sure enough, just about that time a hidden cop hit his lights, shot past me and busted a guy about 50 yards ahead. Some things are too good to change I guess.

Hope the Cats play well today. Heading out to see the beach.

Just staggered through a 5K run—the Henlopen (Delaware) Hot Cocoa 5K. Only the second one I’ve run since my hip surgery. I tracked the only guy who looked like I might beat him the whole way then blew him away in the final 200 yards.

He must have been 75 to my 68 but on the other hand he had fancy running clothes and wraparound shades that suggested he takes running a lot more seriously than me. So, a minor win for the Half Titanium Flash.

I’d have started at 200 yards and you’d still blow me away. Never had any legs. I walk well enough and am thankful but more a stationary obstacle than a runner..

I maxed the PT run ONCE in the Army at 20 and still the NCO of the year cheated for my run time. Pushups, sit-ups, no problem… glad you are doing well!

This is for Warrior and any of you guys who served around artillery.

My wife and I were walking along the beach in Delaware and stumbled into a decommissioned WW2 shore battery post called Fort Miles. It was part of the defense of shipping up and down the east coast, between NYC and Baltimore.

They had a couple dozen heavy guns on display, up to a 16-inch rifled cannon of the type that were main guns on Missouri Class battleships.

This photo is of an 8-inch gun -- I think Warrior was with a battery of self-propelled 8-inch guns in Desert Storm.

There is a little community near me called Viola (population about 300). During WW2, they built an ordinance plant there where they built artillery shells for the anti aircraft guns. They worked 3.000 people and had their own fire department. I was reading that the women could not comb their hair because the static electricity might cause an explosion.
I also worked at the uranium enrichment plant west of Paducah for 12 years. Before it was an enrichment plant, it was a TNT plant during WW2.

Only 8 times in UK history have they lost back to back home games. It has now happened 3!out of the last 4 years. Cal ducked the post game also.
Hard to take up for the guy these days. Hopefully he turns it around but time is running out. Forgot who wrote the article "never has a coach done so little with so much". Cal desperately needs a deep run this year.

Yes, pictured below is the one I was on in the desert.

Each projectile weighed 208lbs so most of us made sure we could do the job. Sitting in the desert waiting for the war to start gave us enough time to work out more. The young soldier pictured with me was also a private of mine when I was a Drill Sergeant.
