D-League

Hitting it hard tomorrow, readying to hit the hay. May be another hour or so but I want the rest.

Been really thankful the last several days through good and not so good. Hoping to be on the regular high I normally stay on to where I can "Give Thanks in All Circumstances." I used to be able to claim that and for some reason I have fallen from that but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand...

I hope your families are solid and your faith is strong. It seems so much is changing so drastically that it is impossible to believe in anything. Trust yourself and trust in God...

Good morning from ATX. Currently 52°F and clear. Today's high may reach 75°F. Good chance we're back in the 90s by end of the week.

Yeah, I'm up early again. Plan on calling daughter at 5 am EST and ensure she's up. Calling again at 6 am EST while she's on road. She's taking a motorcycle safety course next weekend.

Monday, Monday......

Wish y'all a great start to your week.

Good morning folks. Back from my morning walk. It is a beautiful, cool, sunny morning in the east, the kind of day that makes October my favorite month every year.

I hope it lasts until the weekend. It's my annual Dad-Daughter day on Saturday where Kate and I go up into the Shenandoah Valley and see some fall scenery, chase some ghosts through Civil War towns like Shepardstown and Harpers Ferry, have a nice lunch at our favorite Irish Pub in Frederick, a town with plenty of ghosts in its own right, look for the Blair Witch in Burkittsville, where the movie was set, and maybe catch a 20-mile stretch of the Skyline Drive through the spectacular Blue Ridge mountains, if time allows. We don't make a plan. There's no wrong way to spend the day in that region wher Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia come together in the mountains and along the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers.

A long work week first, so I better get to it. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 47°F, clear and calm. Today's high should come in around 79°F. Gorgeous.

Yeah, up early again. Telephone daughter around 5 am EST and again at 6 am CST. She's off tomorrow.

Edit: Daughter texted me. She leaves at 8:20 am today.

Wishing all another awesome day.

Good morning D-League. On the subway heading into the city. Cool this morning in the east. Looks like it’ll be cloudy when the sun gets up. A beautiful day.

My son made a quick trip to Kentucky yesterday to see his grandparents, cousins and take care of a little lingering business before he heads to Texas for that Fisheries job. I wish I could have gone but the timing wasn’t right. He’s in Northern Kentucky so he may try to go with his cousins to the Blue-White game at NKU’s arena. It’s a buzz in my little home town. Lots are going.

Hope you all have a good day.

If anyone cares, these are shades we (Jan actually-I'm computer illiterate) make for a customer for kerosene lamps. They buy the art work. We print it and put the shades together. Though we are slowly closing, we kept them as a customer.

Finished a process today that I started in April. Missing three side by side upper right-side teeth. I decided earlier in the year to go to a dental surgeon to start the implant process. Teeth had been missing for years so it was a more difficult process with bone loss. Painful? Yes, but worth it in my opinion pain only lasted for about a week after surgery. Today they took out the healing abutment and put in the ones the teeth connect to and put the teeth in. Gums are a little sore as they did not numb for this part of the process. I have since tried them out for lunch, and they work like a charm. A little thicker that my other teeth but, feels good.

Now, I have two upper left teeth that have been bothering me and have gone bad so, going to start the process over again for them. Have an appointment Thursday at 10:00 to have them extracted and will a have a 6-month healing time before they put the implants in the bone to start the process again. That will happen in April next year so, I should have those teeth in by this time next year.

Good morning folks.

Cool and cloudy in the east.

Those are good looking shades Bernie. I’d say Water Blue is the one that drew my eye.

Phillies look like they’ll roll over Arizona pretty fast, though these series can change when a team gets to its home field. A Texas-Philadelphia series could be a good one.

My son made it back from Lexington last night. All business completed. He’s hoping to get the final okay on that Texas job today.

Arriving at work. Have a good day folks.

Glad to hear all is going well in that area. My "stupid" take (As always), (My thought process at times is stupid...)

I thought about you getting the work all completed and your student and you sparing and she kicks you in the mouth...

Please forgive my stupid.... this is no way a desire, just to show how stupid I am...

Did I mention I'm stupid...

Some seriously nice work Sir!

Born and raised in McCracken County-now live in Graves County, but have our business property up for sale and have bought a house in the Mammoth Cave area. We are back and forth between the two areas. Back as late as the late sixties/early seventies, 75% of the lamps and shades in the USA came from within 50 miles of Mayfield. A guy could come into town with cash in his pocket and a big truck and no one would sell him anything because of "protected territories". The clay in the ground was/is great for pottery lamps. China took over and we are literally the last one in this area except for an importer.

Remember this guy?

She did hit me in the mouth last week. No blood as it was more of a graze than hit. My head bobbing skills are still good enough to avoid straight on contact. Knock on wood.

I posted this on the Poly Board board but remember, this guy is POTUS...

Only in name. He has no idea he is in this world most of the time. The Communist- Socialist party is in charge. About 350 to 400 people are causing this chaos in this country on purpose. (And those demented enough to vote for them or appointment them (That numbers in the tens of thousands along with the fraud. Not all are voted in...) (Yeah I wish I was a nut and a kook.)

Good morning D-League.

Another beautiful day in the east. Sunny and cool. I noticed something on the subway today. The weather is still in the 60s and I’m just wearing shirtsleeves, not even a light jacket. But women couldn’t wait to roll out their cute woolen hats and stylish coats. Several are dressed like it’s below freezing.

Pulling into my stop. I hope you all have a good day.
