Good morning folks.

Wrapping up our brief stay at the beach. One good thing about the place we rented —it had all the streaming movie channels but I couldn’t find basic cable so I didn’t have to watch the Cats embarrass themselves.

I didn’t expect a win, but I didn’t expect them to play like scared, undisciplined rabble, and that’s what it sounded like following on social media. Maybe I’m being too harsh. Set me straight if I am.

My wife and I lingered in a bar after a really nice dinner that was packed with Phillie fans and watched the baseball game. I didn’t have a rooting interest but it was a lively atmosphere.

Hope it’s a good Sunday for all.

Well...*sigh*...hell.

I fell asleep by the 4th quarter (was watching in my bedroom). Woke up at around midnight, MIL and BIL were still here. Went back to sleep and woke up about 40 minutes ago (they were finally gone).

Still, we are 5-1 so... let's hope we can rebound at home next Saturday.

UL won...ugghh!

Come on Bengals?

Fishing tomorrow...will probably need it.

Praying for Israel and the innocent in Gaza.

God Bless.

Just got an alert from Total Wine about Sam Adams annual lottery for this beer. 280 bucks for a bottle of beer. 28% alcohol, that's pretty damn potent for beer. I think I'll keep my money.

And I was angry because a 24 pack of Yuengling Bottles went up to $21 from about $17 (From the last time I bought them... I passed...) Just turned me the wrong way...

I have not received communication from Total Wine in 2-3 years. Sam Adams Utopia js legal here. Yes, I'd spring for a bottle. May check it out. Price increased since I last considered, from $240 in 2019 to $280 now. Thanks.

I have to admit. It got my curiosity. I still might put my name in the hat. Cut-off is October 16th. Expensive. I could buy a hell of a bottle of wine, bourbon, cognac, etc.. We splurge on food and drink on New Years Eve so maybe this will be part of the adventure.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 58°F and clear. Today's high may top out around 87°F. Loving it.

- Cowboys lost last night. Bah.

- Made a sale on Facebook Marketplace yesterday. Plan on listing much more stuff during weeks ahead.

- Yeah, I'm up early. I call daughter confirming she's awake. Then we talk during her hour drive to work while I'm out hiking. Must work 4-5 am CST. Call and talk to her 5-545 am. Just a couple days/week.

- Monday, Monday... Wishing y'all a great start to your week.

Good morning folks. Out on a long walk on a cold morning. It is a beautiful day so far.

Back from our short beach trip. And back to work. It was a nice weekend, Kentucky meltdown not withstanding. At least the Bengals won and the Ravens lost. Maybe Cincy can get back into this.

Hope it’s a good day for everyone.

Good morning folks.

Playoff baseball already intense. That Phillies-Braves game was a classic if you have the interest, knowledge of the game and patience to hang on every pitch. I was rooting for the Phillies just because they are underdogs. But I appreciate that comeback by Atlanta. Now, despite heading back to Philly tied 1-1, it feels like the Braves are a heavy favorite.

On the subway. Still dark. I used to avoid the east side of the train to keep the sun out of my eyes. Won’t be a problem til May.

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 67°F and clear. Chance for rain midday. Today's high may hit 78°F. We'll take it.

Up early again. Call daughter at 4 am CST. She's off tomorrow.

Prayers go out to all with friends and family over in Israel.

Wishing all a great day.

Hey Austin: You ever been out to a place outside Austin called Ink’s Dam? My son who just graduated from Kentucky got an offer to work with the US Fish and Wildlife Service there. Looks like it could be a good job for a guy in his early 20s.

Once. Highland Lakes out between Llano and Burnet. National Fish Hatchery facility. Located roughly 65 mi from us. All these hydro-electric dams built as part of Roosevelt's New Deal. Little bit isolated, but nice area. Probably somewhat affected by our ongoing drought. Great opportunity for a young man.

Thanks for those replies Austin and Rooster. He’s excited about this opportunity. He likes hard work, and doesn’t mind the isolation. I figure he can get into Austin on the weekends. And I agree Rooster, he’ll get a lot out of working at the hatchery.

Good morning folks. Another cool day in the east. We’ll get a small glimpse of the basketball Cars this evening at the Pro Day.

A long day of work before then. I hope you all have a good one.

Morning Legionnaires!

63° this morning with a high in the mid 80's expected with moderate winds. Tomorrow will be in the low 90's and then 70's for the foreseeable future.

Not much going on today other than the norm. Exercise, walk the monster, and train my one student before lunch.

Hump day for the worker bees so, climb that hill and slide down the other side.

God Bless and stay safe out there.

Prayers for the innocent who are in harms way today and beyond.

Here's what I want for Christmas: The NCAA to grow a pair and punish Kansas for rampant cheating, including making them forfeit about 30 games won with De Sousa, who evidence shows was bought by the shoe company to play for the Jailhawks after Self said he needed players.
Hey D-League: Christmas came early, (and a couple years late, as I posted this in 2020) Kansas forfeits wins AND a Final Four banner in cheating scandal!
