D-League

Went fishing this morning at Rattler. Have not done as well as I normally do there this year but today was a little better. They were hitting and bumping the lures a lot and I caught 4 although 5 got away so the score: Warrior-Cat 4---Largemouth Bass 5. Biggest was just short of 3 lbs and the smallest was about a pound. Will try again tomorrow probably (depends on how I feel in the morning). Feel a little queezy right now so... I have not been sick in a couple of years or so (don't count elevated blood pressure incident). Probably due.

Sure wouldn't mind spending time with you on the bank flinging a line and jabber-jawing. Hope you feel better for sure. I could talk a fish or two onto your line though you catch plenty on your own...

I told my wife when I got back today that there were some ladies out there bugging me when I was fishing and she ask "What did they want?" I said: "Aphids". It took her a minute to realize what I meant and then she said: "Get out of here!" Heh, heh, heh,

Good morning from Nolin Lake near Anneta, KY. Currently 69°F and raining. In fact, we've received rain nearly all night.

Couple folks coming down from Louisville area I've not seen in a while. Gonna have a good time.

Wishing all a wonderful Sunday.

Morning Legionnaires!

70° this morning with a high expected to be in the low 90's and sunny.

Fireworks everywhere last night and my next-door neighbor with friends and family had a lot of them. When they started shooting them off, 3 of my dogs ran into the house, but not the monster. She started barking and growling and charging the fence. She was not happy and let them know that was not acceptable. I had as much fun watching her as I did watching the fireworks.

Not much going on today, I am little more tired than usual as I had more to drink than normal last night. Going to take it easy and just watch the Reds play at 12:40 CDT. Was going to go fishing but...another day this coming week will do.

@AustinTXCat enjoy your trip and stay safe.

and to all, God Bless.

It's Frankie...

Happy Fourth in advance D-League... My Darling and I plan to head down to southern Virginia to a friends from Korea for a fourth party. About two hours from here...

Have a ticker appointment in the morning then, working from home.... Talk to you tomorrow if the Lord doesn't take me home... God Bless you all...

Those of you who follow baseball know the Cardinals have sucked this year. Their pitching has been bad and defense spotty, but they just haven't played smart baseball. They had runners on first and second with nobody out and Goldschmidt coming to bat against the Yankees today. You NEVER make the first out at third base, but the Cards tried a double steal and the runner gets thrown out at third. The Yankee announcers said "and that is why the Cardinals are losing." That is the second similar comment they have made in a three game series.

Good morning D, been really busy lately working with glass and going to the grandkids outings. I turned 72 last Friday, was having a good day, until 2:30, when I think I had my first Me niece's disease attack. I know one of the D has it, I just need a little advice. Getting ready to head out to do some volunteer work at Hope2all, I hope the D has a great day, later good people!!!

Morning folks, it is 69.8°F on our way to 81° with a 10% chance of rain today. Hopefully the yard man will mow the yard. It is growing like crazy.

I kids are out camping this weekend so I don't get a lot of phone calls from them. One of my son's college friends is back in the U.S. after having spent 20+ years in China, so they have a lot to catch up on, plus my daughter and her husband grew up with the guy so there are probably a bunch of big tales being told.

You guys please enjoy your Fourth of July eve.

Happy Birthday Cord.

Best of luck with the attack.

Good morning everyone.

A day here with nothing planned. I had hoped to go on a big hike in VA today, but just too wore out. I slept almost 9 hours instead. :)

I finished the last of the honey do's yesterday, or at least the ones she has told me about. So, I guess I'll be mowing and weed eating between the rains for the next few days.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hello,

I am told my ticker is fine.... Now watch me fall over.

Have a great day and a better one tomorrow. (Reminded me of old CB jargon. ;)) God Bless you all...
That is the proper way to look at your health and life in general. We do not know what is going to happen next.

In the spring of 2010 I was given the old stress test where they make you run on a treadmill with all sorts of gear on you to check your heart. I was told that the veins in my heart were basically open and I was in good shape.

On August 9, 2010 Sherry and I spent the day filming stock footage for Rand Paul's Senate campaign. We then went to eat, came home watched a movie and I went to bed. 30 minutes after going to bed I was soaking wet in sweat. Called 911 and later that week had open heart surgery.

Medicine is wonderful but they can't see into veins, plus the veins can clog up rapidly.

Sure glad you're okay SIr.

I had the stress test with nuclear something pumped into my veins a couple years ago. I go to my cardiologist once a year but I was having some muscle pains in my chest for a while now and mentioned it to my children who are all in the medical field. I sent them my EKG I had done today. (Amazing what they can tell in a few seconds.)

I am told I have CAD (AT previous appointments several years ago.) but not bad (Whatever that means). In my younger days I didn't watch what I ate and still eat to excess but watch what I eat so my weight isn't horrible...

Going to the VA in DC Thursday morning for my regular treatment for Hemochromatosis then to work (If the Lord doesn't take me home.)

I have a combination of vitamins and minerals I take regularly. (Did my own research... They may or may not help but I think they help.) (Cholesterol medicine too but that is hereditary.)

My children all remind me to watch my blood pressure but todays was 124/76. I have never had an issue in that department. Why my children keep asking me about it is beyond me at this point...

My goal is to live a day longer than My Darling but I know all is in God's hands. That is my desire.

I did my stress test at the end of May. I did an EKO before that along with some EKGs and other things. They still haven't told me the results. I'm supposed to get that on the 20th of July.

Good morning folks.

Happy Birthday to the greatest country ever.

I toyed with going to the Reds game today, but we’re having a few people over later and it’s a mid-day game so not sure. It’d be a no-brainer if my son was here instead of the beach.

Hope you all have a great holiday.

Looks like you posted my typical blood pressure, BBUK. Best to your health.

Your blood pressure is ideal.

The day I had my heart attack my total cholesterol was 119. The doctors want it below 200. My daughter has really low cholesterol and I tell her all the time to watch out for a heart attack as if it was 300.

My personal take based on my personal experience, my dad's low cholesterol and a heart attack, my MIL's low cholesterol with heart disease that killed her young; leads me to think cholesterol has little to do with my heart disease. My cardiologist thinks the same.

Hello all,

Spending the 4th on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay. Bushels of Blue Crab, and bunches of other food. Had a hot dog too.

I am thankful...

Hope your days are progressing nicely....

I will post a few pics when I can...

Morning Legionnaires!

75° this morning with a high to be in the mid 90's. A stray shower or two possible.

Normal day ahead. Walk the monster, workout, train my student, blah, blah, blah. Hump day starts the week for many. Not a bad was to start the week.

You folks headed out for work be careful out there and to everyone God Bless.

Good morning folks. A Wednesday that feels like a Monday. On the subway. Already a hot day in the east.

I’m at the age when I’m okay with hearing the fireworks while propped up in bed watching TV rather than wading through crowds to watch them. My wife feels the same and the kids were off with their friends so that’s how it played out.

Had a nice long chat with my father last night. He wanted to talk baseball. I asked him about listening to the 1940 Reds on the radio as they won the World Series, and I asked him for the hundredth time about his father’s memory of being in the park to watch the Black Sox series in 1919 - a young guy in his early 20s who’d already seen war in France and had a job in the Baldwin Piano factory demonstrating the products. It’s good to have those ties to the Reds and in the fall and winter to the Cats.

Hope it’s a good day.
