Nothing like a good walk, a good talk with GOD and stopping to talk with good friends, to help clear your mind!
I cried unto GOD with my voice, even unto GOD with my voice; and HE gave ear unto me!!!!! Psalm 77:1
Just have to call and HE will listen! HE may not answer today, tomorrow or never, but HEwill listen!!!!
God will answer Sir, but in God's time which is the BEST time whether we believe it or not...

Is this it?

Incidentally... does anyone else have a craving for milk duds right now?

Identifying whatever this is is above my pay grade. I'm gonna have to defer to Rooster on this one.

Yeah but if together I stay slim enough to be able to out run you, the predator will get you first.🏃‍♀️
Reminds me of a funny story. At least it's funny now looking back on it. A buddy and I had hit the pavions on the water front (night clubs which in some ways reminded me of the old west bars with the girls working guys for drinks) in Izmiir Turkey. We were walking back to the bus stop to catch the last bus of the night back to the base. I looked over and my buddy was no where to be seen. I turned around and he was taking a leak on the window of a car. There was a guy asleep in the car and he woke up and put his face to the window which my buddy was leaking on. He was not happy. He jumped out of his car and started screaming in Turkish. The next thing we knew, there was 30 guys chasing us. I already had a half a block head start and I was in great shape, so I was just pacing myself and hoping my buddy could outrun them. I got to the bus stop just as the bus was pulling away and got the driver to wait on my buddy. I can still see him at the back of the bus giving the chasing crowd a one finger salute.

Good evening!

New seats came in today and they look great. Didn't have a chance to install them today but I might give it a try tomorrow.

Next couple of days look kinda sketchy weatherwise. Have to play it by ear. And radar.

There's no gambling at Bushwood, Sir, and I never slice!

Catfish tomorrow night.
Man...haven't had catfish in years. When you're landlocked...not much of a fisherman...don't live around some really good fishing holes, you don't really know how to do fish/catfish right. And there aren't any good seafood places around these parts. Used to go to a really great catfish place in Nashville...but have no idea anymore the name of it or if it's even still there. Seems like it was next to an interstate (or 4 lane) and had a pond on the premises.
Now I need to do some research and see if I can find a catfish joint around me. That really sounds good.

My father could not stand ignorance. He once told a man he could improve if he visited a public library and start reading. The man had been complaining that he had no chance in life because of where he was from.

My grandfather had a 4th grade education because if you were born in 1882 chances are the 4th grade was as high as you were getting in rural America. But he could read, write and cipher. In fact he taught me to cipher to the rule of three. My algebra teacher didn't know that.

When grandpa retired from the mines daddy gave him a complete set of the Encyclopedia Britannica. He start with A and dug in. It is one thing not to have a formal education. It is another thing to be ignorant. Nobody with a brain should be ignorant
Grandpa rode the horse to school for the two grades he went. Horse went back home on its own. Dad had 8th grade education - only took him 9 years.

Am I to understand that you've had derby pie and this isn't it? I've seen my share (and avoided many) cow pies, but I figured with all of the hair braiding and hats and such maybe this horse pie was made derby worthy by its shape.

LOL. I was in the middle of Frankfort Germany around New Years time frame 1977 and it was late night with me and some soldiers in a bar down the street from Gutleut Kasserne where we were stationed with the 21st replacement. I had a little too much to drink and was a bit dizzy so I stepped outside in the cold winter night to sober up a little. With my back against the wall I did not see 3 Turkish men walk up on me at first. We had been having some prior troubles with soldiers being attacked by Turks in the city before so there was a history. They positioned themselves one on each side and one in front of me with the bars brick wall at my back. The one in front opened a straight razor and started smiling. Want to sober up quickly? This is one way. My mind flashed as what to do and I figured I had to try and just bull over the one to my left since the door to the bar was only a short distance away when around the corner to the right walked this man a woman going that direction. As soon as the straight razor wielding Turk saw them he closed the razor and hid it. As they walked by, I walked out with them quickly going into the bar to summon my buddies. When we came out, the Turks were running up the street at a fast pace. I think God had a Angel in my court that night.

Some of the Turks liked us and some didn't. It depended on if they were making money off us or the Russians. I had a friend who was stabbed in the stomach just for talking to a Turkish girl on the sidewalk of a busy street. Another time, they bombed the Officer's Club. Most Turks were on the small side, but the biggest man I ever saw was a Turk. He was very large anyhow, but his head, shoulders, arms, chest, feet was just oversized. He looked like he could put his hand on the top of your head and squash it like a tomato.

I have to watch CaddyShack. Haven't in a while. In my catalogue.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 75°F, cloudy, warm and humid. Front moving through. Cooler, dryer air coming. San Antonio hit pretty hard last night with golf ball to baseball size hail. Today's high projected in the 82°F range.

May the 4th be with you. Happy Star Wars Day.

Wishing happiness and health for all our fellow D-League members.

Morning Legionnaires!

Kind of a brisk morning this morning. Unseasonable for this area and tonight gets into the 40's. I like it, it helps me sleep better.

Don, I hope you and the missus enjoyed your day/evening yesterday.

Nothing follows.

San Antonio roofers will be happy. Wow!

I got the yard wacked and mowed. I never expected that to happen today but it turned out to be a wonderful, windy day.

Catfish tomorrow night.
I had all you can eat catfish Saturday night. A popular restaurant down in Bayport sells an all you can eat platter of catfish for $10.00. Including sweet tea. You can't cook it at home for that price.

Our weather is a carbon copy of yesterday. Not much happening here except I am going to report for an MRI and Cat scan to follow up on my latest surgery. Trust all are well.
