Unsure what it is.

We'll see if Biden and his handlers are really able to push any left wing shit.
The government has not recovered from the disastrous Obama presidency. It's been 4 12 years of continuous obstruction and deceit since 2016 2008. To the point where it took 18 months to receive permission to purchase a $20 replacement fan a needed for a NAS because it was not provided by an approved vendor to address social engineering paradigms. I was allowed to make the purchase after proving that the USDA had an exemption from these restrictive protocols for USDA scientific research sustainability. The cost of a simple 20 min maintenance operation was absurdly crazy. This is but a single example of the ineffective management protocol enforcement of the government for the people. I remember a investigative colleague commenting there was nothing so simple that it cannot be made impossible by having a meeting. President's really do make a difference for responsive cost effective government.
These old ears and eyes despises every promise he's made. Like you said, no choice.
It's not over in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia or Nevada. Don't drink the lame stream cool-aid that, "Well there ain't nothing we can do." That's exactly what they're banking on because the facts do not support the narrative. You we're wondering how we got in this mess. By being complacent with immorality . . . That's how.

TL/DR

I have to laugh at the disrespect shown to Trump’s SCOTUS appointments. The right acts like they are just pawns who are there at Trump’s beck and call to do his bidding. They are in fact proud, qualified JUSTICES. They are not political pawns. They have deep respect for each other, for the law, and for precedent. IF they even decide to hear any of these cases, if they are not presented with very compelling evidence that a fraud has been perpetrated, they will not just overturn the will of the people and hand Trump the election.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 68°F and partly cloudy. Slight drizzle. Our high today should top out at around 84°F. Nice.

Monday, Monday...

Returning to KY in 12 days. Can hardly wait. Not really enthusiastic about the upcoming drive. Looking forward to visiting everyone again.

Wishing all our fellow D-League members good health and happiness.

Morning Legionnaires!

Still have not started part time work yet, not pushing the issue. Needed the time off to catch up on issues around the house and re-energize. Also will wait and see how the year starts off under new regime. Wife pulled most of her money out of the stocks she was invested in and moved to safe account. Note sure that was the right move but, we will see. She was growing her 401k pretty good but, took a hit in a couple last week so... My money has been in safe accounts all along while she kept investing. Felt we needed a fall back just in case. Never was savvy on investing but, she follows a Christian investor that seems to be pretty good and has done OK with him.

Here's to hoping and praying that all who are suffering this day are relieved of their pain and find some peace. To all that are sick: GET WELL SOON!

Hello all,
I have not posted much and will not be posting much. I will read some but I am at a point of quiet.

God is still in control, I know that and do NOT doubt that. My human inclinations are not in a good state right now. It is better I do nothing than act as I feel. This shall pass but I hurt deeply.

God Bless you all and "I know who I have believed in and am persuaded that he is able, to keep that which I committed, unto him against that day!"

Thank you Rooster, you always know how to pick up my spirits. Wisdom and much appreciated.

I turned on the TV for some weather news and see the stock market is up about 1500 points this morning and nearing 30,000.

Reports are the COVID-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer is 90% effective and should be on the market soon. During the campaign President Trump said we were within weeks of having a vaccine and the press laughed at him, suppressed the news and you know the rest.

The press and media laughed, said Trump was killing people and instead of staying positive with the news of a vaccine they turned on him. He put in a plan of "warp speed" that no other president would dare. Once Trump is gone look for red tape to return and things to take years to accomplish as we get back to an America before Trump. Stay healthy my friend or else.

Good morning D League

Our local weather is tracking a potential issue out in the waters called Eta. Eta is causing rain and wind in South Florida but is still a ways from us but we are getting a little rain from it now. We will see where it heads . We are currently 73° with slight rain and our high should reach 81° by this afternoon.

Trust all have a great day and stay dry.

RAIN RAIN RAIN

When there was some talk the other day about banned posters I wondered if it might be you....but had no idea why if so. You've never come close, but I had noticed that I think your last post was when you took everyone off 'ignore' the other night. Glad you're still around.
I might be like you...post less. For years I would basically only post during games and maybe a little during the week on the f'ball or b'ball board, depending on the season. Then once b'ball was over I wouldn't even look at the board till f'ball.

Can I ask, are you involved with the USDA?

Good morning D, 1.6 miles walking this morning, another beautiful day.
Looks like a westinghouse emblem that may have been attached to a refrigerator or freezer door. if you zoom in you can see “westinghouse“ across the top.
Yes it has Westinghouse across the top. I did a little more scratching on the back and found it was made by Bastian Bros out of Rochester NY, follow that on the web but cannot find any pictures of it. Thanks Blubo and welcome to the D! Great place to land!!! I'm thinking maybe to a small fan?

Put me on ignore. Easy. You and your pals have said much worse to me. I was compared to cancer. Seriously. That’s sad. I get you all are devistated and hurt over lord trump getting smoked but it not my fault. Grow up and get on board or don’t and live out your like in hate and sadness. I made it 4 years. You all can make it 8. I’ll leave you alone. You seem like a decent person. D-league carry on. I’ll stay out.
Good.

Gorgeous few days in Kentucky. Played golf Saturday and Sunday, got into the mid/high 70s. Perfect golf weather. Looks to be a pretty nice week here with highs in the high 70s today and tomorrow, and dropping into the 60s later this week with a chance of rain Wednesday and Sunday. Fall in Kentucky is fabulous.

It is 70.0°F and sunny. I had to turn the AC back on last night as it got up to 80° inside. It is supposed to get up to 79 today.

You all have a good week.
You are as warm as we are down here.

At the present my house does not have any heat so I might get the HVAC man out here before the first of the year. We seldom need heat but if we get a freeze in January or February it helps. At least in the morning until the sun gets high.

Last summer the mother board in my heat pump went out and my AC man came out to take a look. He had an extra in his truck but it was for AC only with no heat. He told me it was a spare part and he would put it in with no charge as it would get the AC working and that was all I needed in July.

When I was a boy down here we did not have any heat or AC. I know in this world that is hard to believe but it is the way it was. Few houses in this area had heat. Those that did had a fireplace or kerosene burner.

We had a coal stove. We went out to the loading docks where they brought the coal in by rail and walked the tracks, picked up the coal that fell off the train cars. We would also drive the hauling roads and pick upcoal that fell of the coal trucks, yukes?

I remember doing that on the Y in Middlesboro when I was young and we would visit during the colder months. The trains would stop so people could throw off coal. (Un-officially of course.) I was very young but remember that.

My grandfather had a coal mine in the hill behind his house. The mineral rights to his land was owned by Ford Motor Company but they allowed him to mine and bring out coal for the house. The mine was actually abandoned and had been since the 1930's

I had a first cousin older than me and we had the honor of taking a pick ax and digging coal for the winter. We always did it in the summer because it was always cool in the mines. I must have dug it from about age 6 (I carried the coal bucket until I got strong enough to swing a pick) until I started college.

We always visited Kentucky in the summer because of the weather. Pike County, KY in the winter is hard on a boy

I grew up in a small town in Norhtern Ontario. We had an oil furnace but we were also poor, so we primarily burned wood in the winter to keep the house warm. We typically went through 20-25 cords of wood every year, and it was me and my brother and my dad cutting down trees, hauling it home, splitting, piling, etc. Pretty much every weekend for 2 months each summer was killed by gathering and prepping wood for the winter.

I've also had coal stoves at least 3 occasions. Damn things are messy!!!!!!!!!!! Hate it when they go out about 3 am when temps are 11°F outside because of that latest cold front out of Canada and you can see your breath.

Also picked up coal (black gold depending on your economic situation) off train tracks and coal trucks. Saves a few dollars.

One of my best friends was Russell Hamilton, of Hamilton, Ont.

He and I often (over a series of years) swapped tales of where we grew up and each of us were trying to outdo the other. He was an Argyll, the Queens brigade. He spent several years in London playing bag pipes for the royal family.

He spent weeks at my house because he did not like hotels. He played bagpipes like no one else. I have videos of him playing Amazing Grace, God Save the Queen/King, and most of all "Loch Lomond".

He always told me that the "Black Watch" were a bunch of wimps! The Argylls were the Brigade with balls!

God rest Russ's soul. What a patriot. What a friend. What memories.

I've spent some time in Hamilton - Southern Ontario is actually pretty hospitable climate wise. I'm from about 6 hours northwest of there.
