D-League

Financially, they may be better off, but I remember being able to leave the doors unlocked when we went somewhere, leaving the windows open at night, kids being able to play in the neighborhood and come home at dark, and everyone having respect for our flag and law enforcement. My grandkids will never know most of this, and it's sad.

May be but "As for me and my house"... I am living on the faith of the word. "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."

That is actually all I have going forward knowing that I failed so many times. God's grace is sufficient...

Good morning from ATX. Currently 73°F and overcast. Got some rain last night. We might have reached our high for today as the cold front continues moving in. Tropical storm also moving our way. Rain expected most of today. Guess my parka needed for morning hike. We'll gladly take the rain.

Monday, Monday......

Wishing continued happiness and good health to all our fellow D-League members.

Good morning D, cool 48 degrees here in the Berg this morning!

Well, another fishing trip is in the books, what a great trip! I caught between 50-60 trout on Friday and around 30 on Saturday, they were messing with the water level, with the largest one being a 19" Brown Trout! Saturdays are bad there! The weekenders are there and they have no clue that you don't run your boat between people fishing the bank and the bank!!!! I didn't get the slam this year, I didn't catch a Cutthroat this time, I caught the Brown, Rainbow and a Brook Trout. Already looking forward to next year GOD willing!!! We made a fast trip back, one of the guys in our truck got a message from his wife that her father had passed away yesterday morning'

The view on the White and Norfork Rivers is beautiful, lots of Bald Eagles. We didn't see an eagle catch any fish this year but have on our pass trips.

I hope the the D has a great day!!

Berts weather report at the shanty. Cool 56° this morning as it climbs to 74° with blue skies and sunshine. Nice stretch of weather the last few days and still looks like a few more coming up. Might have to make a 🍩 run in few minutes to celebrate.
I sent that good weather down to you. Donuts are wonderful.

It is 57.6°F here on it way to 76°. We have gone a week now without rain and I have used the dry time to kill some bermuda grass. I need to mow today but I may be too lazy.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites, Prospects and Lurkers.
  • We have 50º this morning in Cumming, Football is coming.
  • It's good to be home again.
  • Enjoyed knocking around in Leake County for a week with my 1st cousin. He is a busy man. I intended to visit with my 92 & 95 year old //aunt and Uncle. Aunt Helen is unsighted now and Uncle Tack has some Dementia. It is so sad.
  • I saw a Whitetail Saturday running at full gait and jumping a 6 foot fence. She was running real fast, the fastest that I have ever seen. She could outrun Secretarist maybe.
  • My cousin has 120-130 Black Angus cattle. That keeps my cousin busy.
  • I am missing #3 grandson. He is in the Mountain Climbing, the second leg of his Ranger Training. Then he does in the swamp for the 3rd and final leg. I look forward to seeing him.
  • #1 Great Grandson is about to walk. 8 months old. Cute as a button.
  • Sure hope everyone is well.
  • Still missing Ymmot31 and Beverly.
  • Carry on.

It's in Norfork, Arkansas on the White and Norfork Rivers. I got a text from my friend who gets this together. I may not get to go next year, because he has to fill the slots with people that go to their church, I am not a member there. I hope I get to! WC if you decide to check it out I can send you the guides name, he owns his own guiding company.

Edit: (Barbequed using pine cones. Try it some time. The meat is tremendously tasty.. (That was on our patio when we lived in South Carolina.)

I'll try that sometime. We've got a number of pine trees and normally just let the pine cones sit and rot.
Will probably get the smoker out Saturday to smoke some ribs. How do you think the smoke from pine cones will be with ribs?

I don't know but the steak my wife made was out of this world good. Stated it is used in some expensive restaurants as it does take some time. I could not doubt her...

Agree, and I hope the Lord comes again, before too awfully long. The way things are headed it may be sooner rather than later.

Buuuut ... you have friends from other galaxies. You are one up on all the rest of us.

I just watched a program on UFOs this week. I'm sure you probably know (but I didn't) that we already have several colonies on the moon (on the dark side) and on Mars. They were observing our astronauts as they walked on the moon and the astronauts spotted them. Young people are removed from their beds at night (fewer than 100 at a time) and are transported to these places through a portal and trained for 20 years to fend off invaders. Then they are returned with their memories wiped of their experience and no time has passed since they left.

According to them, the government knows this but won't tell us. But they should.

All of this knowledge is in the MUFON files.
Pssst...be careful what you say on the internet....just sayin'...👽👽👽
