Heard a compilation this morning of music with phone calls from loved ones in the towers and on the planes before they died. Could not hold back the tears. Was angry all over again, even more so when I think of the clowns who are disrespecting our country today. While I really don't want to see another civil war, I would like to hurt some of these people who are attacking innocent people in the street simply because they don't agree with their politics. I know that does not sit well as I am a man who fears and respects God and vengeance is his but by God I wish he would use me in that respect sometimes.

Heard a compilation this morning of music with phone calls from loved ones in the towers and on the planes before they died. Could not hold back the tears. Was angry all over again, even more so when I think of the clowns who are disrespecting our country today. While I really don't want to see another civil war, I would like to hurt some of these people who are attacking innocent people in the street simply because they don't agree with their politics. Yeah, I find myself walking a little more hunched over and play-acting when out. I am sick and tired of the elderly being preyed upon by true thugs. (That is who always seems to be targeted.) I am near wishing I'd get accosted.

I posted a montage of patriotic songs and readings on the political board late yesterday about 9/11. I was as emotional as I have been. (Hoping some of those who spout such vile hatred could somehow join together if even for a minute to support this country.)

OT: My wife and I was driving down the highway today back from the store this afternoon (It is my regular day off) I looked well up ahead and saw a state police car had pulled over a u-haul truck. (The mid-sized panel van version)

Anyway as I was near even with them this big-fro'd black guy (Just a description, For those that may not know of me I was born in Michigan and raised in the slums of Detroit, I thought I was black until I got my drivers license.) steps out of the u-haul with his hands raised walking back toward the State Trooper's car.

(To this day at 59 years old I come across people that are black that do not know how to take me. I sincerely do not care what color you are. I care about if you are a human being or an animal.)

I seriously felt like stopping and slapping some sense into that guy. Just ridiculous...

Good morning from my little corner of the world.

Our temperature is 73° as we watch the sun coming up in the East. It will reach 86° by mid afternoon for the high. Skies are clear and humidity 95%. Any other time I would be excited for Saturday football but that faded away. I didn't watch the NFL the other night but saw on the news that the fans that attended booed the players when they made their political statement. And then the players wondered why. Are they living in an alternative universe. Of course they are.

I am going to stretch these bones today, a nice walk, further than the day before and a dip in the pool for some extra exercise and some sunshine.

I did too. I can't even name who the MSM news anchors are. After David Brinkley ended his career I think I tuned out for good. I never liked Dan Rather or Tom Brokaw. Now we have ended Fox News in our house.

Follow up on my metal detecting, 24 pennies, 3 dimes and a nickel. I also found a Charles Lindbergh coin, I thought I had found my first half dollar at first, it was like an anniversary coin, it was dated 1927. I haven't read upon it yet.

I got in about an hour of walking this morning. That is a long way from the first week of June when I could not stand up, much less walk. So I am thankful and blessed. One step at a time. Now I am going to take a dip in the pool and continue with my exercise. After a bite to eat.

I put in a phone call to Mr. Bert this morning and spoke to Mrs. Bert. Mr Bert is mowing the lawn. Gettin' her done

Did the same, but front yard only. I mow about 5 or 6 acres so most times I break it up. Besides this time of year I'm kind of sick of mowing, trimming, fertilizing, etc grass. But it's a beautiful early Fall day so thought I'd get that done at least.

Yard done. It was hot and muggy, or as my dad would say it was 'close'.

It is sprinkling now but the little cloud is too little to do much. I was shocked at how dry my yard was after last weeks 2.82" so I want it to rain now. I have 'rounded'-up the spots of bermuda grass that came back after last years killing and reseeding. I am killing and spots are now all good and brown. Maybe next week or the week after I will seed it with Falcon IV.

I share your sentiment. Terrible dichotomy as a patriotic sport fan. The mute tool works well for me when I'm insulted but more often than not I can't get the lie out of my head and will change the channel. I also make sure to note the advertisers who are supporting this. I fully understand the eco-impact of a subsidized predator in an ecosystem with ecology and economics being essentially the same word. I can connect the dots.

Well, back from fishing and since it had been raining last three days and the nighttime temperatures around 50° the pond water was cold. No strikes and I jumped 5 ponds. Going to have to start afternoon fishing so the water temp can come up.

• We have 83º right now. When I took Lola out we has about a 15 minute shower that got everything wet out here. Turned the fan on later and got it dry. And now it has started to lightly rain again.

• FCC called me drunk-as-a-skunk. He said that he is down to $500 so he's drinking that GFM money up. Said he had been drunk for about 2 weeks. Poor little fellow. I hope all of that liquor does not kill him. Pray that it won't.
• Going in to try and find some CFB.
• Take it easy.
• Carry on.

FCC must hit rock bottom. I think that our contributions kept him from hitting rock bottom.

But, from everything I have heard, Gatewood will probably be eligible, but UK had a gentlemen's agreement with Auburn that he would not play against them, since they cooperated in his transfer. As for FCC, he gets social security, and is in an apartment. I think he is trying. It is just really hard to get off the booze, and he may not be strong enough to do it.
