I had pretty bad service with Dish Network, which is why I went with Directv in the first place, and I really liked Directv. I had good service and dependable signal. However, I left them about a year ago. I, too, was paying increased bills, to the tune of about $200 per month, since we had the upper tier of service. Then, I was paying another $60 a month to the phone company for landline, and internet service. I combined all that with Spectrum, and get it all for $175 per month, which is a savings of about a $1000 a year. Then, I was paying $150 for cell service with AT&T, and I switched to Consumer Cellular, which costs me only $60 a month, which saves me another $1100 a year. I am happy with both and saved myself over $2100 a year. While I was at it, I shopped around for Insurance, since it had been about 5 years since I had gotten competitive pricing. What I found was that I could save another $1200 a year when I switched my auto and homeowners insurance, with the same coverages. For two weeks work, I saved about $3300 a year for these things that you never really think about. You just keep paying the monthly bills. Everyone should shop around for these, at least every other year.
