CNN did a "fact check" after the first night of the Republican Convention. Their conclusion? "All lies!"
I used to watch CNN regularly because they seemed "neutral" between Fox and MSNBC. I haven't watched a minute of CNN since the run-up to the 1916 election when they went off the rails and got worse than even MSNBC. Same with PBS News Hour.

I may have one of those. I know I have quite a few wheatbacks. Now I am going to look.Speaking of 1943, Austin if you can pick up a 1943 penny you might have something of value. Some have sold for over $1 million and the internet said the one below sold for $1.7 million. Somewhere in an Austin car wash lies a treasure.
I am coming back strong chief. Back brace not needed nor do I need a walker. I can walk unassisted but I take a walking stick in the yard. I have St Augustine grass which is like a sponge and it is so thick it covers any holes. You have to watch your step so that is where the walking stick helps.
1943 was a tough year to be born but it hardened us like steel for life. I still have my ration coupon booklet. Mama kept it and told me there was a limit on milk, chocolate and other things. It kept us babies fit and trim.

His name is Lin Wood who is based in Atlanta. I think he may be representing Carter Page also who has one heck of a lawsuit against the United States of America Justice System. They lied about him and attempted to destroy his life. I hope the U.S. Mint has their printing press oiled up and ready to go.

No 43's but I do have a 1920, a few 1944's, 1948's, 1949's, 1956's all wheatbacks. 24 total.

Looked up the 1920 and it is worth $900.00 if in mint condition which this is not.

I have total of seven (7) 1943 pennies, all steel, from my mother's collection. 1-2 are rusting. Another is in mint condition as part of a larger coin set in a case. Good morning from ATX. Current temp = 79°F, humid and partly cloudy. Expecting 100°F for our high. We're on the dry side of this hurricane. No rain fell in our area. On the other hand, prayers sent for those folks in Louisiana and especially the Lake Charles area.
Today is LBJ's birthday, a Texas state holiday. I'm working.

Yeah, about 100° today with 104° for tomorrow. Need it to cool down next week. 2 more work days starting tomorrow and Monday before actual retirement starting 1 September. Will just go in and clear the office and post the next 2 work days with an office retirement party given by co-workers tomorrow. Monday will just be finalizing the clearing of post in the morning and turning in my government CAC in the afternoon.

Our temperature is 78° with 97% humidity but nice and sunny. Our high should reach 88° and we have a 60% chance of rain mid afternoon. So Laura visited the Louisiana - Texas coast with 150 mph winds. This was the strongest hurricane in Louisiana history. If you were on the coast and decided to ride this one out, you had a wild night. Been there done that. I also extend prayers for these good folks. Pine trees and electrical lines will be scattered like match sticks and clean up will be extensive.
Trust all have a great day and let's pour another cup of coffee

Morning good folks of the D-League. Had a good night of sleep. The wife is off to see the doctor for her physical. We are cloud covered from the storm. I suppose we will get some good rain. We can use it. I hope that the folks on the Gulf took care and don't end up hurt. Some of the early video looks like there was a lot of damage.
I may smoke a pork tenderloin tomorrow if I can't talk myself out of it. The smoker works fine in the rain!

Three weeks from today I will be on my way to the White and Norfork Rivers to do some trout fishing!!!! I know some of the D likes to fish, I would highly recommend a trip there to fish. I can give you the name of one of the best guides on those rivers!! I get to fish in his boat this year.

Yes, possibly, or Lake LBJ. Both are man-made as a result of damming the Colorado River. To the north are Belton Lake near Fort Hood and Lake Waco.
I remember when we would drive to Fort Hood, somewhere around Dallas we would drive pass a huge lake, don't remember the name of that one .
Ray Hubbard Reservoir or Lake Ray Hubbard. Huge. I drive over it every time coming and going to/from KY.
Thanks ATX, I remember seeing that name now, still hard to remember some things from the early 70's, but I do remember trips to FT. Hood!!
