OK, I am going to post my brisket rub tomorrow, but tonight, I am posting a really quick dip recipe that most people use in some form or fashion. Here is mine. I like it because you can make it in 10 minutes, make it hotter or milder, depending on what you use, and everyone loves it. Plus, it is easy to keep in a crock pot, while everyone watches a ballgame. I call it Cardiac Fondue.

Microwave one package of Mexican Velveeta, until soft. Add 1 8oz jar of Pace Picante and mix until you get a smooth yellow mixture. Fry one package of your favorite sausage and get it into small pieces. ( I use a potato masher) Just mix the sausage into the cheese-picante mixture and you are ready to go. Takes only 10 minutes, and you can use mild, medium, or hot picante according to your taste. Grab some tortilla chips and go for it.

Enjoy.

I do almost the same thing Mr. Ben only I put
1/2 block of Velveeta
1/2 block of the white cheese
1 can Rotel
1lb hamburger
1lb sausage
Put it in a crock pot. My mom called this Oklahoma dip, don't know why.

Like I said, most people have some variation of it. I like the picante better than the Rotel, but it is just personal taste.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 78°F. Expecting a possible record-breaking 98°F high today before this new front arrives bringing early morning rain tomorrow. We may see 40s later tomorrow evening. Hell, yes, I'll take it after this miserable summer.

Braves had home field advantage and choked it away. Congrats again, Cards fans.

Good Morning D
Today is the day. My son and DIL are at the hospital now to get things going. Hopefully sometime today we will get to meet our little Kiara. I’ll be headed up at around 8; they’ve asked me to be in the room, along with the other grandma, for the delivery.
If you all could keep this little family in your prayers...My DIL has had complications with this pregnancy. We’re praying for an uncomplicated labor and delivery and a healthy baby.

Good morning from the Gulf Coast.

Our forecast is for perfect weather the next 4 or 5 days Our temperature is 64° and a high in the mid 80's. The local baseball team is still in the playoffs but that may end in Houston tonight or maybe not. But back to college football, the Cats QB seems to be a lot better with his injuries, would like to see him at least 95% by game time. He is the key for a good season. I hope this open date has been used to tweak a few things and get back on track.

Enjoying a nice cup of coffee and waiting for the sun to rise.

Best of luck BKO. Grand kids are wonderful.

I'll try to come down next time you visit Bert so we can square up on the bet.
I'm willing to look the other way if Bert grills steaks for us .....but he has to put the dressing on the Caesar salad this time.
It was whisky and good company.

But Austin is a nice guy. He is not like Ymmot, Rooster and Bert.

Anyway it is a cool 59.4°F and sunshine. We are supposed to top out at 82°F.

Latest update: because DIL had no dilation at ALL, they decided to turn off the Pitocin and did a Cervidil insert. The Cervidil will soften the cervix and get things moving, once they have a dialation of 2cm they can restart Pitocin. Giving DIL Pitocin at this point can cause undue stress in the baby. While it’s possible the Cervidil will induce full blown labor, it’s not that likely. It’s also very probable they will have to do the Cervidil twice before she’s ready for Pitocin.
What all this means is that we will more than likely not have a baby today...it could be tomorrow or even the next day. On the plus side, the decisions made mean that DIL and baby are in great shape and can take it more slowly.
Of course, this baby could surprise us and the staff and show up today anyway

I have two great grandbabies due in a couple of months (for a total of three). One of them will be a boy, thus breaking the girl curse.

My mother had six boys and no girls. I have two daughters. The oldest daughter had three daughters. The youngest had one daughter, who has one daughter and is pregnant with a daughter. My other granddaughter has a boy in the oven.

Got that?

Hello all, Hot as heck again here today, eagerly looking forward to winter. Looking forward to BBM tomorrow night and the football game Saturday.

Went to the Doctor today for my wellness check, so far so good. He said he may reduce my dosage on my BP medicine if I keep doing well on my diet and weight loss.

When I started this journey I weighed in at his office at 259 pounds. I weighed in this morning at 198. He seems to think 190 would be a good weight for me, And I agree. My waist went from a 42 to a 34. Seems weird honestly.

Good luck on the baby BKO, I'm sure everything will be great! We have 5 kids, the youngest two, the twins are 29 and we STILL only have one grandchild. Oh well, they'll probably come in bunches! Have a great day all
