Eating healthy and walking. Thats really all i been doing. First day I walked i went about a half mile and my ankles and knees ached like crazy. I gradually increased to 5-7 miles a day, which i do now. Also started drinking a lot more water and less Soda and Beer

Great job, and glad to here that RR is improving.

You are doing it the right way. I have dropped 12 pounds over the past month and still have a ways to go. But I am on my way. I want to reach a goal of 190. I am about 6'2" so that should be a good weight for me at my age.

Hello all, Hot as heck again here today, eagerly looking forward to winter. Looking forward to BBM tomorrow night and the football game Saturday.

Went to the Doctor today for my wellness check, so far so good. He said he may reduce my dosage on my BP medicine if I keep doing well on my diet and weight loss.

When I started this journey I weighed in at his office at 259 pounds. I weighed in this morning at 198. He seems to think 190 would be a good weight for me, And I agree. My waist went from a 42 to a 34. Seems weird honestly.

Good luck on the baby BKO, I'm sure everything will be great! We have 5 kids, the youngest two, the twins are 29 and we STILL only have one grandchild. Oh well, they'll probably come in bunches! Have a great day all

Hey Ace. How about dividing up your old clothes and sending them to the rest of us guys.

Good morning from ATX. Currently we've got a wet, rainy 59°F. Front just moved through. High today may reach 75°. We shall easily take it.

Are you ready for some Big Blue Madness? Razorbacks in Lex tomorrow. Texas vs Oklahoma in Dallas tomorrow.

Good Friday morning D League

We are expecting a nice day today headed into the weekend. Our temperature is a pleasant 65° and we are headed to 85° this afternoon. Plenty of sun.

Looking forward to BBM this evening and I am anxious to see how we do against Arkansas We have to get this team back on track and some games. I still would like a decent bowl game and think we have the talent to make one. QB is a key

Sausage smells good a frying and the coffee is just right. Waiting for the sun to rise so I will see you later Have a nice day all.

Good morning D, A true fall day here in the Berg, we are in our second wave of heavy rain and the temps are starting to head down, started at 72 at 5 this morning, headed down to 37 by in the morning! Weather in KY!

Good day for sports, Before the madness @ 4:30, BBM @ 6 and Cardinal baseball at 7! Now if the Astro's can just beat the Yuckies!!!!!!

Ya'll have a great day and prayers have already been said for the D and their families!!!!

I saw on a thread on RR, about picking your favorite former UK basketball player, for me that is really hard to do.

This is just my thinking, it was hard to single out one player I guess when your a UK Big Blue fan for life they are all sorta you favorite.

When I think back Rupp's Runts were great and I also think that Roby and Phillips were, but I think when I look back it would probably have to be Dan Issel. This was back when you could remember who played and all of their stats. Now days it's so an so and what year did he play? I liked the good ol days!!

My first UK "hero" was Ralph Beard
I guess my favorite was Cotton Nash as I went to UK the same time as he did and saw all of his games. He was probably he smoothest player I have seen and most athletic. He played every sport and played them well. He also made All American every year he played at UK.

But then I think of Louie Dampier, Pat Riley, Dan Issel and Mike Casey. And the list grows and goes on. I really do not have any favorites from the Calipari era because they don't stay around long enough to matter. If Davis had been around 3 or 4 years he may have been #1

I got to talk with Ralph Beard several times. He graduated from Male Hign, the year before my Dad, and we lived in the same apartment complex in Louisville when I was a baby. He was best man at my Dad and Mom's wedding. He was a great guy, and had he not been banned from the NBA, he would have been considered better than Bob Cousy.

Great story Ben. My dad's favorite was Ralph Beard and I agree I think he would have towered over Bob Cousy in the NBA and at that time Cousy was considered the best guard in basketball. It is a shame those players were punished like that. In today's world you can do much worse and not miss a game.
