Rooster has Union Pacific run out of Locomotives?
Nope, I just love the newer GE locomotives the CSX has. There are thousands of UP's of that model too but our page numbers are still to low to reflect present page numbers. They show up in future posts. I'll toss in some of the older diesels for variety but they won't be as purdy.

Dammit, I prefer CSX. UP is in Omaha and I freeze there.

Thanks Rooster, even after coming home from North Little Rock and their Jenks Railroad Shop for Union Pacific I miss seeing some of their hardware!

Good Saturday morning D League

Well this is Open Date Saturday for our football team. We sure need one. Maybe a couple of players can heal up. It should be a nice day. I just came back inside and it feels like it will be. I would guess temperatures will be much like yesterday.

Lots going on today and I best get to it. Another cup of coffee should spur me on. Take care D League

Good morning D
Well what a week
Last Friday (not last night but the one before) I get a phone call that the air in my son and daughter in laws apartment is out. Of course this was after five so there was no getting it fixed that weekend. My DIL is eight and a half months pregnant. No way they could stay there with the heat we’ve had...so they come stay with us. She’s also had some complications with gestational diabetes and pre eclampsia. My son had to work both of his jobs because they need the money
Then on Sunday the DIL ended up in the ER...she had been getting sick, was dizzy, breaking out into a sweat and cramping really badly. Her blood sugar and blood pressure were elevated but not badly. Somehow, even with all the water and stuff she drinks she became severely dehydrated. She was released after IV fluids and her blood pressure stabilized.
Tuesday was her dr appt.. he looked at her Blood Sugar log and didn’t like it, so she got admitted to the hospital ...all her levels were out of whack. So she got to stay in there until yesterday. Poor girls birthday was Wednesday..not a fun way to spend it.
Upshot of all of that you might ask? DILs due date is October 31. The drs have decided it would not be good to let her go that long so are going to induce this coming Thursday morning. If her labor doesn’t progress as they would like, or if there is ANY distress they’ll have to do a c-section. Either way we will have a precious new granddaughter by the end of the week.
To top all that off, my sons car keeps overheating...they’ve replaced the radiator, water pump and thermostat. Still doing it..Rob thinks it might be the head gasket. Going to check that today. We’re praying it’s just leaking and not blown.
Add into that working full time and dealing with a teenage boy who just doesn’t want to do schoolwork it’s been crazy this week. I’m about worn out.
Hope all of you guys are doing well..haven’t had a chance to catch up reading posts yet
Hugs to you all

:pray::pray: Prayers for you and your family that all goes well Thursday. Keep the faith and know people are thinking about you and your family.

Morning D, it has been beautiful the last two days!!!! Got up each morning to 53 degree mornings. I finally got to mow yesterday, it was hard to see where I had mowed in some places and choking the mower down in other, but I geter done!!

Not sure what I am going to do today, Mrs. M has a retirement brunch (not her) for some people that have already retired, so it looks like I am going to have to fend for myself today for lunch, when that happens I usually head to the Chinese place, but we'll see.

Since the weather has broke for a bit I need to take down a chain link fence that has bee up for over 35 years. It's about 90 feet long and 6 foot high, I tried to give it away but had no takers, finally a friend of mine said he would take it.

Ya'll have a great day!!

Banana pudding, Mrs. M makes the BEST!!!! Got a message from our pastor, told us the waitress at Cracker Barrell told him that they had the best nanner pudding, so he tried it and told the waitress, nope yours is not no where as good as Mrs. M's! Kinda funny story about it, the pastor's daughter had surgery so Mrs. M made her some pudding, found out later that she didn't feel like eating any now, a day later she said she wanted some, but her dad and brother had already eat it, their excuse was they didn't want it to ruin!!!

Appreciate the support on a rough day the other day y'all
RR I hope things get better for you. My wife's mother passed 2 years ago, she held it together for a while, then about 1:00 one morning a couple weeks later I heard the loudest scream I had ever heard from the LR, I jumped out of bed, ran to the LR and there she was, couldn't hold it back any longer. Hope and Peace RR!

Bert we know you love the CSX. There is nothing wrong with Omaha, my daughter and grandson live there.
I was offered a job by the UP back in 1992. I flew from Jacksonville to Omaha in February and froze my butt off. Omaha in winter is a rough. I turned down the job.:) The money difference was not enough to overcome the weather.

Afternoon ish D
Daughter #1 and husband are in Colorado for the week. We got volun-told we're watching their dog until they get back. A 2 yr old Golden Retriever....great dog, pretty, full of energy, about the size of a miniature horse. Dude is wound up! We're adjusting...
That's not him...but it aint too far from it.

Cord, wish I would have known about the fence. I could have come and got it. We need it behind the house for the dogs we are raising. FCC.

Yes sir, I am. Sherry, my wife, was born in Glasgow; Sam, my daughter, was born in Louisville.

No one appreciates family more than me (or is that "I", hell I majored in chemistry). All of my family came from "stable" families.

I don't know how I did it but I trapped a fine lady. She still swears that she loves me. I still don't know why. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Cause you’re cute as a button and a sweetheart to boot!

Good morning from ATX. Currently 79°F and clear. Expecting upper 90s today. Cold front inbound Monday. We should see 10-20° drop in morning temperatures. Thank the good lord.

Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival is happening this week and next. Plenty of music and tourists. Downtown gonna be rockin'.

Know my Bonds, have the 007 theme as my regular ring tone on my cell.

Just sitting in the garage watching football. No more dog sitting, he finally left...back to normal.
Cleaned out storage room & closet on Wednesday...now I gotta clean out the garage. Took one load to the landfill already.
Weather feels great. Dont have to worry about the Cats losing today..

Yep, sounds like a head gasket. Sorry to hear about your week, but when that new grand baby arrives you will probably forget all of the bad stuff. Congratulations.
