Good morning D League

Waking up to a nice day with sun rising in about an hour. Our current temperature 72° and we should hit about 88° We may get a few scattered showers but they say that about every day this time of year.

Well the man on the radio just said RED MEAT does not cause cancer or any heart issues. I said that over 50 years ago because my grandpa and the rest of the family had meat every meal and twice on Sunday. So I will put on a 20 oz rib-eye this afternoon and honor the new medical findings our scientific community has discovered. Grandpa could have saved them a lot of research money had they asked.

South of us in Pasco County comes the news that an actress named Stacy Dash was arrested yesterday for domestic violence. She beat the heck out of her husband in their home. He looked like he had got into it with a pit bull. She says he grabbed her by the throat The news says she starred in some movie called Clueless. I am the one clueless because I did not know who she was.

Never a dull moment. I hope the football team is practicing hard and our injured players are getting good treatment and heal up soon. Have a great day all

The hottest October day in recorded history is expected today in Louisville. 97 degrees.

I'm taking my Dad to a 2-hour class on hip replacement surgery this morning. Since it's been over 5 years since his other hip was replaced it's either required or highly recommended.

I know it's not an option but I prefer Jessica Rabbit over Wilma or Betty.

I have seen women get jealous and upset watching this cartoon figure. They felt threatened. LOL

82 I know ya'll probably already know this but just a reminder because they didn't address this in my class, but I started taking some type of stool softener before I had surgery, it will help if he gets the pain meds. Just might want to bring it up just to see what they say about it.

Good morning D, to say it's going to be hot here today is an understatement! The weatherman said the high for Central City is going to be 98! The only thing that's going to keep it from being unbearable they said was that the humidity is not going to be as high, we'll see about that. Relief is on they way!!!

Ya'll have a great and safe day!!!!

Good morning. Saw one of my neighbors yesterday and he said he was having trouble getting in touch with the person that mows his yard. I told him I would mow it. Took about 45 minutes and he is close enough that I drove the mower to his house. He tried to give me 40 bucks which is what he paid normally. As bad as I need money, I refused. I told him a man could do something for his neighbor and not for money. He seemed quite surprised. FCC.

Wow, I'd never expect such a high for Louisville this time of year.

This weather is crazy. ATX may shatter a record high here tomorrow.

Best wishes to your father.

Good morning all, Our weather is the same about everyday, High of 90 chance of rain this evening. But this is rainy season and we haven't had rain for two weeks, really weird.

Got the twins birthdays coming up this month, going shopping in a bit to look for them something. I shop like most men, buy what i want and out the door! I can't believe its almost time for Big Blue Madness, seems like it was just starting summer.

My little dog is feeling much better, I guess they get viruses and get sick just like we do. I knew she felt better when she caught a Squirrel on our walk last night. She kills any varmint or rodent she can catch. Y'all have a good day!

Hey D-League,
Nothing much to say right now about our same ole, broken record weather. It's a crystal clear 88 degrees right now, headed up to 97 for the high. The weather guy, this morning, said that we may dip down into the 80s this weekend, which will be very welcome here.

I've been hearing a lot about this new "pay-for-play" law that California has introduced. I can't wait to see all the fallout from that and how it impacts all the college sports. It's nice to see someone stand up to the NCAA.

I hope you're all doing well out there, where ever you may be today.

Afternoon ish D
Daughter #1 and husband are in Colorado for the week. We got volun-told we're watching their dog until they get back. A 2 yr old Golden Retriever....great dog, pretty, full of energy, about the size of a miniature horse. Dude is wound up! We're adjusting...
That's not him...but it aint too far from it.

The bolded part:

This may be the undoing of the NCAA. Then we can kiss college sports good bye. If this happens all the money goes to the two revenue sports and all the talent will go pro.

If that happens you can say good bye to the SEC, B1G, ACC et.al. It will end up the NBA and NFL picking up high school kids. The secondary sports will be a thing of the past and the schools will no longer be able to afford to pay scholys for sports.

If that is what they want then so what: college sports are dust in the wind.

Thanks Cord! They covered this in the class. Very thorough and detailed and worth it for anyone who's never been through the surgery. They lumped us in with knee replacement patients as well.

You are a good neighbor and a good man. He is fortunate to have you in the neighborhood. In today's world few people would do what you did but once that was the way people treated each other.

Yes. Going to be interesting. All recruits going to California? FCC.

UK82 is Chloe a lab? She reminds me of my Marley Girl. Marley is 10 years old and her face has turned white. Hope see improves and feels better! RRK
She's a mix breed RR. Definitely some terrier because she used to have a beard plus wire haired and mixed with a larger breed because she's about 70 pounds. Maybe boxer. Possibly lab I guess. If I could clone her I'd do it.
