Did the rocket go?
We got her up Bert. In between thunder and lightning a window appeared about 7:23 and off she went up and away into the wild blue yonder.

The rocket was a SpaceX Falcon 9 with an Amos 17 satellite made by Boeing. It will provide telecommunications for Africa and the Middle East. It launched from SLC40 Cape Canaveral and the viewing section was LC-39. (All of the moon launches were from 39) And there she goes

Good morning D League

Trust all are well and looking forward to a nice Wednesday. We are experiencing a round of scattered showers coming off of the Gulf and it is headed East and a little North across the state. It is 72° with a high 89 ° Watching the launch yesterday the snack of choice was the good Ole Moon Pie. It came in a nice tin "Apollo 11" 50th anniversary

But if I had Tommy’s money I would have four greenie eggs sittin their nest just waiting on something to cook. Tommy is a top feeder. Me, Im bottom with the catfish

This isn't true, at all. The only reason I have two eggs is because I got great deals on both of them and both came with lots of accessories. There's no way I would justify spending that kind of money to get that stuff brand new.

Here is another day chock full of possibilities. For example, I could have played golf this morning. But I didn't. I could be out back getting some work done. But I'm not. I could be in the kitchen fixin me some coffee. But I don't have to! My wife is playing hooky today and she had coffee waiting for me when I woke up. [smoke]

Turns out I'm rich after all.

It is 76.5°F and partly cloudy.

Back is giving me fits and hopefully the Dr. will give me a steroid shot and some muscle relaxers monday when I see him. For twenty years I have had a bone spur in my low back and every once and a while it sticks me. It is one of the disadvantages of getting old. The advantage is that I did not die young.

I am glad the rocket got off and I hope those good folks in the Middle East and Africa enjoy the good U.S. Technology. :flushed:

An old saying:

I would rather ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

My dad wore that one out on me.

Yep. "It's easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission."

Here's one I use often. I tell my wife this all the time as she is on the phone for hours with people who can't help her solve a problem and only shine her on. Don't bother asking anyone who can only has the power to say "No." Keep going until you talk to someone who has the power to say "Yes."

Hope is well w/railroadkat and everyone else.
May do some mowing when i get home, kind of depends if we're doing anything for the birthday boy. I'm sure he just wants money...
My right arm is giving me fits...get a pain shooting down it. If I tilt my head back it really hurts. Im thinking a pinched nerve.
It's making it difficult to finish off a can of beer...maybe that's a sign? Naahhhh.

Have to say it was a good day...

Friend came by around 1000 this morning and we got to work on the patio. Pretty much finished up the trim. Got handles put on both doors and I got the spring and door jamb on one. It shuts with a nice little slam and soft bounce back. The other makes a nice creak when it opens and shuts. Neither are worth a shit but they are the first doors I ever built so I'm going to roll with em.
