Gorilla tape would probably hold you better and make you blow up after beans for dinner.

RETIREMENT. It's great. C'mon boys and join the club. That includes you too, Don.

Your 60s are good years to be retired. You are still able physically and mentally to do pretty much anything you want to do. Wait until you are 70 and you'll find you can no longer do the things you wish you could do.
Great advice. Hence a nice reason I may semi-retire at age 59 1/2 come 2021.

Good morning D League

Trust all are well. Our weather pattern is tricky today with rain showers in and around the area. Temperature now is 72° with our high this afternoon at 83° I am headed over to the Cape to watch a rocket launch and I hope the weather is OK over on the Space Coast. The launch is scheduled for 6:30 PM

For all who are nearing retirement congrats. It can be the best time of your life if you have your health and have prepared financially.

Retirement - probably not gonna happen til I hit 67...hoping for anything sooner. Actually have a retirement planning seminar today at work, I think I'm going to check it out.
We need to play golf someday. Name it.
Just warning you ahead of time...I'm not very good. It kind of depends on how much "swing lube" I use. Bogey golf is my goal.

Good morning all.

Probably. Definitely Lensatic. Used by military for years. Very accurate and easy to use.
I'll never forget map reading from basic training. We had to pull all night guard duty the night before, so staying awake in class was nearly impossible. Well after class, the DI's took us all to a field and grass drilled us for close to 30 minutes(seemed like it anyways ). When we had finished, it looked like someone had plowed it.

About a year ago, we prayed for this woman who had thyroid cancer (bottom pic). She just reported recently that her cancer is completely gone (top pic). The doctors told her that her cancer "just disappeared." Coincidence? Make of it what you will. Prayer does not always get us what we desire (ie, little Sarah, who I still think about), but sometimes it does. Religious input done.

Could this be a possibility? It appears to be about halfway in between Eville & Lville. Never been there & don't know anything about it...

Yep, that's an option. Looks like a nice place.

I played this morning and shot a smooth 80. Was 8 over on the front and even par on the back. Would rather have it happen that way than the other.

Went to a pool party after that. Dude had a food truck come and park in the backyard. Nice touch.

Good morning from ATX. Currently a dry 69°F and gorgeous. At Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), we shattered an all-time low temperature record on this date of 65°F, with a reported actual reading of 60°F. I'd say a few low temp records across the USA for this date fell.

We'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Good morning D League. It’s cooled off in the east, thank goodness. In a rush to get to work so I’ll check in later. Got a pile to get done in the next ten days before a beach vacation in Delaware.

Quick update: I get to the subway where there is often a street musician playing for tips —today for the first time it was a guy with a portable contraption that made a sound like a circus calliope playing “How Great Though Art.” Things are looking up.

Good morning D League

Nice to see all of the spring like weather across the D League nation. It is starting to feel like football season. Bring it on Cats. We are having plenty of rain at my house and temperatures are pleasant. It is 71° this morning with a high of 82° and more scattered showers expected. By the weekend we should be back into our summer weather pattern which means set your clock for 4:00 PM and get ready for a soaking rain. Then in a half hour out comes the sun.

Trust all have a great day. I smell sausage cooking and that is a good way to get the day started

I am a believer in the power of prayer.

  • Good Morning, Wildcats.
  • 64º start this morning. Beautiful morning. No clouds.
  • Both Rotater Cuffs hurting this morning. Arthritis probably. Oh, well.
  • I'm ready for some law and order. Will it ever return?
  • Crime is rampant in Atlanta. And our leadership does not care.
  • Hope you are well or getting better.
  • Carry on. As you were.
I second what you say Don. I was transferred in my job to Atlanta in the early 1990's. I had to fly to all of my assignments and they wanted me next to the Atlanta Airport. I remember searching for a home around the airport and got so frustrated at what I saw I called my VP in Philadelphia and said if you move me here I will either get killed or kill somebody. His response was find a place to live. So I got in my rental car and started driving. I ended up 60 miles from the airport and found a nice quiet area in Forsyth County on Lake Lanier. I had to get up an hour earlier to catch a plane but so what I was safe and my wife was safe when I was on the road.

In the 1990's Forsyth County, GA was a very safe, small town area famous for Junior Samples. It was a great place to live. Then things started to change. Atlanta urban sprawl started and it ended up as a bedroom community for Atlanta. Georgia 400 became a parking lot. And crime started to creep in, most if not all of it illegal Mexicans brought in by Tyson to work the chicken processing plants and do hard labor jobs. I started planning on retirement and my main focus was to get out of there So I ended up in a little community on the Gulf Coast where our sheriff comes on morning radio and warns anyone committing a crime in our county will regret the day they stepped foot in the county.

60.6°F here and the humidity is only 62%. What great weather.

Ymmot I bet yesterdays golf was near perfect weather-wise.

Yes it was Bert. In fact, when I got started at 0800 it was a little nipply when the cart got up to speed.

Went this morning and got my golf clubs adjusted. My iron shots have been drifting off to the right for some time now. They are supposed to be 2° upright but most of them were at about 1°. Doesn't sound like much but it should make quite a difference. He told me that my 4 iron was still at 2 degrees and I informed him that it was because I hardly ever hit my 4 iron. Maybe once every 5 or 6 rounds.

I'm going to do some housework today and mow grass later.

Getting close to going back on keto.

Still trying to adjust to having all this extra time on my hands. Go to court on Tuesday to get this probate stuff started. From what I hear it should be lots of fun.

Afternoon D.
Free chicken tenders & tater wedges for lunch today...not real healthy. Did I mention FREE.
Mowed some last night and then had to go to church council mtg. Gotta mow the rest today, then I'll be done for the weekend.
Weather feels great...missing my opportunity.
My local watering hole is shutdown for 2 weeks, now what am I gonna do?
College football - 1 month away.

College football is one month away. YES YES YES

Just saw where where our most experienced safety is out for the season. Dammit!

Wildcats junior safety Davonte Robinson is out for the season with a right quadriceps injury that will require surgery, the school announced Thursday.

The Lexington native and Henry Clay product saw action in all 13 games last season with three starts, making 42 tackles including 3.0 for loss with four pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.

What'd I ever do to you for you to hate me so? If I were a 1-iron, I could understand. Lee Trevino said that even God can't hit a 1-iron.
