D-League

Well I see the annual derby week gas gouge is in full bloom today...2.99, and it's odd that our Mayor loses out on his tax hike increase, only to see LGE hit us in the arse with a tax rate hike...

something Fischer going on here...

Good afternoon D! I was supposed to go fishing tomorrow but we (S-I-L) decided to go this morning, because it looks like storms moving in tomorrow. WC, cordmaker 3 - bass 1. I caught a 4.2, 3.6 and a 2.0 all on a Whopper Plopper! I still don't know how to post pics or I would. I know now days if you don't have pics it didn't happen, but I would not lie to the D! I hope everyone has a great rest of the day!!!! We release all the bass we catch. BLM- Bass lives matter!!! Sorry couldn't resist that!

The man on the radio is giving a recipe for "fart bean soup". I could have gone the rest of my life without that information.

What are we coming to as a culture? :scream::scream::scream::flush::flush::flush::flush:
I heard you can take the gas out of beans by putting a carrot in it while cooking. Never tried it and it may just be a vicious rumor!!!

I always heard you could put some soda in the water, while you let them soak, then drain and put in fresh water before cookin. That supposedly takes the gas out of them.

Do you remember the fate of the Continental? This portion of the movie was filmed in Kentucky

Lot's of it was filmed in Kentucky, but the car crusher scene was filmed in Florida. If you notice as they drive to the scrap yard, they pass a sign that says "International Airport". Standiford Field was not international in the 60's.

Excellent!

I've been to about 9 Derbys. 7 infields, 1 grandstand and 1 clubhouse. Man they were good times but there's no way I would go through it again. I remember there were as many women as men in the men's bathroom (infield). Long lines for the ladies. And of course the famous shouts as soon as they came out "Show us your tits"!

Never heard of the Whopper Plopper until today. Watched a few videos on them and am having four delivered (among other things) on Friday.

You will like them. I caught all mine on the small bluegill colored one! Good luck let me know how you like them. The way I caught mine today I would give it a jerk then reel it some stop and do it again

I know of a different Mike Davis in Rush, his wife passed away from cancer in the past year.

I know him, too. I dated his wife in HS, and he retired from Big Run landfill on US 60. My Brother-in-Law's family was the Davis and Burton Construction, and they live on Rt 3, just past the fire station. .

MIL had major surgery on her leg today. We got a call a few minutes ago from the hospital that she's out of her mind, threatening to call the police, violently attacking the nurses, etc. 83 years old so I'm assuming the drugs are taking over. Of course if you're mean anyway the drugs just makes you meaner. We're on our way to the hospital.
Good luck and get well soon.

Honor Blackmon: Pussy Galore.

If you've been there then you know Fort Knox base and the repository are not next to each other like they show in the movie.

Gotta shine that on. If they gave her drugs that made her act that way, then they should give her drugs to fix it. They got em.

It was not the repository I was looking at in the movie.[banana] Yeah, I have been to FT. Knox many times but, not in a while.

Headed to the golf course in a few. Alexa says it's 68° this morning.

Whether it's right or wrong, after golf I'm going to go get the wood for the porch today. Looks like this is happening faster than I thought. Oh well, there's nothing I can do now but roll along with it.

Might be going with polycarbonate corrugated roofing. It's white and should reflect sunlight and it's also very light and easy to manipulate. Con- it's not steel. Anyone have any experience?

Good Wednesday morning D-League brothers and sisters.

It is a blue sky 69° heading up to a high of 89° this afternoon with winds off of the Gulf between 10 and 20 mph. Nice breeze.

This morning I am going to do a lot of paper work and office straightening then head on over to the shrimp boats and pick up some big fresh ones to make some gumbo and shrimp creole.

The lawyer man on the radio just said you don't say you have "custody of a child" when divorced but now it is called "parenting time". Don't use the word custody because it is hurtful. OK I learned something new this morning. Thankfully that is one thing I don't have to worry about in our family. . .

Trust all are well or at least improving. Make it a nice day.

ymmot, we used the polycarbonate on part of our deck, I got mine at Lowes, we used the smoke gray color. It gave some shade but the afternoon sun was hot!
