Good morning D, got a busy day today, headed to O'boro for a birthday party for our adopted granddaughter and to Lowe's to get some household supplies. I hope everyone has a great day, also stay safe!!!! ATX watching Diners,D&D last night and they were in Austin at two places Green Mesquite and OneTaco, have you been to these places?
I was going to pay cash for the materials at Lowe's but then I remembered that they give me a discount if I use my Lowe's card. They charge extra if you use cash. wth
Psychologically, I much prefer to use a debit card for large purchases. Seeing the cash leave my hand is much more painful. Sometimes I get twenty in cash so it looks like they're paying me to take something off their hands.

I remember the Farside, It had some funny dark side cartoons in it! I have one book of them that's probably 20 years old or older!!! Older "The Completely Mad Don Martin" 1974! One of the funniest cartoons was a guy in a boat in the ocean with a underwater microphone trying to listen to the sounds of whales and there was a whale right next to the microphone singing Louie Louie!!!!

Good morning from Las Vegas. Currently 72 and sunny. Mid 90s on the way later. Late flight last night. Purchased a 3-day bus pass for $20. They really sock it to tourists here.
Sitting at McDonalds near UNLV campus right now. Smashburger restaurant is nearby. Might check it out later . Already found 21 cents this morning. Where there is chaos there is money.

Going out this morning for a spot of fishing. Going to try 9 mile pond, one that I have not been to in a while (few years). Always caught bass there but, they were too small for me to keep. Ran in to a man at a store yesterday that said a friend of his caught a nine pound bass out of there a couple of weeks ago. Got me salivating for a lunker.
Yeap. I used to work at 8th & Broadway. I got burp burgers at the White Castle there quite often.

Expecting a pleasant day on this the the Lord's Day. After church my wife and I are going to try out a new restaurant and then join Bert for a laid back Sunday.
I have finally got my wife in a "down sizing" mode and she has agreed to get rid of a lot of things including a nice leather couch, love seat and matching lounge chair that we will give to a local charity. We just have too much and I hate garage or yard sales so I just give it away. The kids all live in different towns and they have their own stuff and no need for it either. Someone in need can use it.

Ordered screen yesterday. Found what I needed on Amazon and it was $250. Wikibuy told me I could get the same thing somewhere else for $145. I did. Also went to Lowe's and got rafter hangers, 4x4 bases, concrete anchors, and a new masonry bit. Lay out should begin tomorrow.
Coffee is on the way.

Sure would be nice if we could duplicate the success of last years football team. Another year like that would make a good foundation going forward. I suppose it could be said that we already have the foundation, but no one pays attention to the baby steps it took to get to where we went last year.
It needs to be a sexy move for any home state kid who is good enough to be recruited nationally, to stay at home and be a part of something big. Dominance over Louisville will go a long way to create that vibe.
I wish Hoak would have stayed. I can understand why he wouldn't, but we have no legitimate back up now and even if we bring in a juco with experience and talent, he won't know the system. Be careful Mr. Wilson!
Sweeney signed a 10 year 93 million dollar contract with Clemson. Wow! I haven't been to Clemson for about 15 years. When I was there that town was ate up with football and I can't imagine what it's like now. Beautiful campus and all the roads leading into the stadium had huge orange paw prints painted on the roads.
Weird things there: Got there on a Sunday and couldn't buy a skillet for my motel room. Found out you couldn't buy any tools on Sunday. I told them that I wasn't going to hammer a nail with it, I was going to cook a steak. Didn't matter.
Another thing was in the bars they couldn't pour a mixed drink out of a bottle. All they had were the little airplane bottles to make drinks with. Had to order a double to get a decent drink. Shots were pretty easy though.
People over 80 were given a 1% tax break on all purchases but the signs said they weren't allowed to take the break if they were buying something for someone else. That will really stretch out a retirement income.
