D-League

A few years ago I took Thunder up to Dawsonville, Georgia for the moonshine festival. This is Bill Elliott's home town and they have an annual "Moonshine Festival" car show of only cars that were used by Moonshine Runners. It is one of the best and really has some nice cars in it. "Running shine down highway 09" Here are a couple from that. I was loaded with 190 proof corn liquor.

You were lucky they didn't arrest you for moonshining.

You're right but fortunately they all have a good time and the sheriff turns his head. Now that Bill Elliott is retired he has a moonshine distillery and sells it legally. A picture below is of him selling and autographing the bottle at the Festival. The Dawsonville Pool Room is a landmark also and many great NASCAR drivers and ex-moonshine runners have enjoy a hamburger or two at the counter.

Good morning D-League

Another nice day in store. 62 now with a high of 84 in the forecast for mid afternoon. It should be sunny and a good time for me to continue with garage cleaning and disposal of stuff I will never use again.

Trust all have a great day and our prayers are with each one of you who are not up to par. May the Good Lord touch you in a special way.

Looks like a fun time. I guess they could get you for bootlegging since you didn't make the shine.

Gee, the 3000th page of the D League. Lot's of good advice in those pages.
The D League is a breath of fresh air. No bickering, good solid citizens and tons of information we can use in everyday life. Plus most posters are old enough and have had life experiences that are interesting and informative. You get an education on the D League

Is it just me or does Bert get his prostate checked a lot more than needed? ....I kid, i kid. Hoping you get not good, but great news tomorrow.

Enjoyed your snake progrum....i don't want nuthin' to do with that!
Got an Eye Dr appt this afternoon...hopefully he'll tell me I got bad vision. I need another golf excuse.
Not much here today.
I know most of you don't follow the NBA but the Clippers were down 31 in the 3rd and came back to beat Golden State. SGA played 31 minutes and had the assist for the go ahead bucket w/15 seconds left. I think Doc Rivers is gonna like him (or already does) as his PG for the future. ....just some FYI.
I went to the prostrate doctor today. I am now on the one year plan as the PSA was down to .01.

I found out about the cancer in September 2016, operation (77 iodine 125 laced pellets) Jan. 10, 2017. So in two and 1/2 years I am at the moment cancer free.

Well rr a couple picked us out. They couldn't get a ground ball by us though.

Been watching the NBA playoffs. Helps my Cat withdrawals. Get to see some NBA Cats. Doing well. You're welcome Silver. Those were given with our Blue Blood. We would have had 20 titles by now. I'm stopping..

Gotta work today. Some laundry. Go Cats. FCC.

.
That is so special that two young guys end up on the same message board/thread.

Dallas, TX. DA's office has announced that stealing necessary items up to $750 will not be prosecuted any longer. Atlanta did this or something like this last year.

That is piss poor.

Socialism.

Crime does pay.

What are the chances that this DA is a Democrat?
He might get a lot of people killed. Some people do not condone stealing no matter what the value is. I am one of those. If a person needs something and I can part with it, I will give it to him. But if he steals it from me I get angry.

If a person thinks he can walk into a store or somebody's house and steal something with under $750 value, he might just get shot. And yes you know Dallas is Democrat controlled. Most big cities are and most have crime issues.

Too simple. I catch you stealing from me and you get hurt if I can inflect the hurt. Five cents or $5,000 the morals are the same.

If I catch someone in my house deep into the night he is going to wake up in, where ever he is going, in big trouble, thanks to a .44 mag.

Sorry. But don't take things of mine without my permission. It will not go well. I am a gentle person that gives away thousands of dollars a year; however, if you steal from me I can get really, really nasty.

I now see why rrk was a 1st baseman and FCC was the shortstop.
Had to look up "scuppernong"...never heard that before. Big white grape maybe, but never scuppernong.
Great news Bert
Played in two games last night, we were run ruled in both. Half of my team is over 50 and in the upper league but I don't know why, should be lower level at our age. I hit a line drive foul third time at bat that hit the top of the left field fence. Catcher ask the ump to check my bat to make sure it was legal. He said a guy my age should not be able to hit that hard. I just laughed at him and then hit a single to the opposite field the next pitch.

Maybe if we get enough states to go the route of Kentucky, Oklahoma and about 14 others with constitutional carry laws we can eliminate them before it gets out of hand.

Good morning from ATX. It's 60°F and raining. Expecting 75°F. A nice Easter weekend is in our forecast. Sounds good.

It appears Jamal Baker will transfer. His pending departure has been long rumored. Wishing him best of luck.

Short week for me this week. After work, I plan on hitting up a local pub for a few beers with colleagues. Always good times.

We'll check back later. Y'all behave.
