Good Morning D. Cooler in the quad River city. Thunderstorms since about 3:30am. Now a slower rain witch is perfect for the new sod we had laid. Went and had a new hearing tests , ordered a pair of new aids to set and go back in a couple of weeks to pick up. I need the help to carry on a conversation. Feeling better and better!

More coffee!

Good morning D, just waiting for the rain to start. Got two more Bluebird houses built yesterday, helped my sister plant part of her garden and repaired a small rocking chair that one of the rockers (is that what they are called or runners) had came off. Going to put one of the bird houses in the corner of her garden so they can help with the bugs!!!! Finished our revival last night, but I hope our revival continues on in our church!!!! For those that believe in prayer, please pray for our church!!!! The devil is working overtime!!!!! Ya'll have a great and safe day!!!! Cordmaker out! One of the most heart breaking things I ever had to listen to was Last Call for one of my cousins!

Afternoon snack of coffee and doughnuts.

Life is good.

Hell yes!

The D League is a breath of fresh air. No bickering, good solid citizens and tons of information we can use in everyday life. Plus most posters are old enough and have had life experiences that are interesting and informative. You get an education on the D League

Glad I don't have to pay tuition.

Good health report, RRKat. Checked my BP this morning and it was down to 123/83. So I checked it twice. Same thing.

Named after a river in North Carolina. Wild grapes similar to Muscadines. Indian name.
Speaking of wild grapes, my wife's Uncle Paul Davis used to go over to their old farm place in what is now Mammoth Cave and pick wild grapes and make jelly and jam with them. They are actually sweeter and better than regular grapes.

Going to the rattlesnake festival today in Apache Oklahoma. April every year we go and gorge ourselves on good food and carnival rides. Clear skies an 70° expected so, should be a good day. Last years pictures of the snakes they had. They kill some and cook them for people to eat as well.

Looks like a regular church service back in the hills. My grandma actually handled snakes in church. I took my wife on a date to a snake-handling church in Indiana back in '62. They brought the snakes out because someone there knew I was from the hills. They would not have done it if I was a stranger. Didn't stay long.

Looks like a good barbeque ahead Warrior. When I was about 20, I worked on a pipeline job in Eastern Montana. This was the late 1970s. The place was crawling with small prairie rattlesnakes. In the early morning they'd crawl up next to the pipe to absorb the heat in the metal, and a crew of young guys would go along and kill them and toss them in a big cooler. On Fridays we'd have a snake barbeque. And somewhere I got a hatband one of the dudes made for me.
