When I was 8 the state was paving alot of roads that was gravel. At the end of the day they would dump remainder oil on our land cause Grandaddy told them they could. After about a couple of days, I went out and told them they could no longer dump there cause it would end up getting in our water. They looked at me funny cause a kid had just busted their chops. They stopped. We had wells.

Later that year, I would ride my stingray bike about 5 or 6 miles from the house with my 20 gauge full choke Winchester across the handle bars. Get a squirrel or 2. Some neighbors down the road bought the woods and started cutting trees out to sell the wood. I called them one day on our party line telephone and told them if they cut all the trees I would have no place to hunt squirrels. They stopped. Got some bottom land in Hickman. Ballard and Carlisle Counties and increased their production. Mrs. Enlow still laughs about that phone call. True stories. And it certainly created an awareness of creation and our responsibilities toward it. I have a Chemistry degree but have more hours in Biology. FCC.
FCC I may have asked you but do you know where Husband RD. and Spann Lane is? That's where some of my kin folks live in Paducah.

Evening D I have a recipe for ya'll It's called Southwest Chicken. All you need is about two cups of Cheez-it crackers (I like the Kroger brand best)
2 tablespoons taco season
6 boneless chicken breasts (I like to cut them up into about 3 smaller pcs.)
1/3 cup butter (I like to leave the butter in the pan to keep it warm)
Your favorite shredded cheese
You crush up your cheez-it crackers in a gallon storage bag add you taco seaoning
Place your chicken in the melted butter and coat it good (the reason I like to leave the butter in the pan is the chicken in a bowl starts to gel up making it hard to coat the chicken)
Place your chicken pieces in the bag shake and coat it in the crackers and taco seasoning.
Place the chicken in a cake pan lined w/foil sprayed w/ pam spray
Any of the crackers left in the bag I like to pour it over the chicken
You'll see why after it's done because the pieces are good too!
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
About 5 minutes before it's done take it out and cover it with the cheese.
I don't like anything hot but you can also add any spices to this Iff'n you like.
Whenever I ask the kids what they would like for their birthday meal this is what they always ask for. Hope you enjoy! Cooking this in a cake pan lined with foil is the best way I have found it's just easy cleaning

Hey Cord,
Could you coat your chicken in eggs instead of butter?

I have not idea! Just asking why eggs? Not knowing what eggs would do to it. Ben the why I find out about some things is I'll take a couple pieces and try it and if it don't taste the way I think I don't try it again.

Because I coat my chicken with eggs before dragging them through flour when frying. Just seems a little healthier than butter. I may try the butter, and then do one with eggs and see if you can taste the difference.

Sounds good! let me know how it is! The way I look at it is I had rather throw away 1 or 2 pieces than a whole meal. Just been wondering have you ever baked chicken covered in eggs?

Boy, a tree hugger of today would go nuts if they saw that rascal belching out smoke like that.
One of my fondest memories from childhood is the smell of the old steam locomotives. Especially on a cool morning or evening. Love the smell of coal burning and of course wood too. Another time that is gone and will never return.

Have you ever dipped the chicken in milk before flouring and putting in the skillet?

One of my grandmothers used the egg way and the other used milk. I have not heard of butter being used but I guess it would be OK.

Sc the butter just helps the cheez-it crackers stick to the chicken. All the left over crumbs kinda reminds me of the crunchy bits of long john silver only better!

Just remember Ben if you try the butter keep it in the pan and keep it warm. When I use to put it in a bowl and coat the chicken the cold chicken just gelled it up and was hard to get it completely coated.

I was born June 13, 1946. This June I will be 73.

I was not quite 12 years old when the Cats won in 1958. Of course I can't remember for sure but I think that I listened to all the games that year except a couple that I got to watch on TV. Also I went to all the games at my school (Park City High School - all 12 grades in three buildings) with my first grade school teacher, Ms. Margaret Burnett (who lived next door with my grandmother).

Ms. Margaret was a basketball nut. She taught me the love of the game. Plus my parents were big UK fans.
I wasn't even 1 yet when they won in 58 but, I am sure I was so excited I crapped my pants. Apparently, that was the norm for me then. Who knew?

A must win tonight to hold on to a #2 seed. A #1 is still possible but I'm not holding my breath.

One of my neon beer signs behind my bar died Friday. The 1-year warranty expired 10 days ago. UGH!! Talk about planned obsolescence. I'm fighting these guys but I think I just might lose.

Go Cats!!

We are using botanical evapotranspiration demand characteristics of various crop types to measure atmospheric fluctuations associated with temperature to measure temperature for designing plant moisture demands to determine crop irrigation schedules to conserve water use. Techniques to measuring temperatures is a by-product of our agricultural research. You are correct about thermal loading of concrete but we are not all retards. Only say about 75% of us are government cows foraging at the public trough.

I have read where the MMGW people acknowledged the UHI and attributed a "possible 1 to 2 degree difference". I know for a fact that number is a vast understatement. I'm concerned about tainted data being used to further the scam of Man Made Global Warming. Temperature records have been manipulated to present a cooler past than what actually occurred and now current temperatures are being taken from areas that are artificially warm.

Tell them to water at night.

I was the wheelie champ back in the day. I could ride one forever, or so I thought at the time.

My first bike was a Huffy in 65. In 69 I got a Schwinn Stingray. I was a wheelie rider too but my main value was as a jumper. Anything that provided a take off angle was fair play. Sometimes we built ramps when we really felt a strong urge to get hurt.
