D-League

Good morning all! 73 degrees in beautiful SWFL with a high of 82 today. Have to run around with the wife today.

Cats play at 1'oclock tomorrow afternoon. Football cats have a big game against Louisville, big as far as the bowl game pecking order.

Looks like I'll be taking a trip to Arizona soon. The son and his wife are going out there to look for a place to live. And I honestly don't know why they want me to go...lol.

Hope everyone ailing feels better and has a good holiday. That's all I got, will check in later. Y'all have a great day

Good Morning & Happy 2zD

The Phoenix metro area is 60-70 miles across and was developed as villages so intent matters. Work? School? Recreation? Family? Retirement? For example. Quick access (< 2 hours) to Mogollon escarpment NE of Tempe, millions of federal acres to recreate with fabulous warm water fishing (with boat). The worlds largest(?) semi-conductor Intel manufacturing plant 10 mi S of Tempe. Arizona State University (70,000+) dominates downtown Tempe (traffic congestion).

thanks Rooster good info. I think they are going to lease for 6 months or a year first to see what area they want to live in

Morning D
Long time no talk
Been crazy busy
We finally got my son and his wife moved into a nice apartment in Crestwood over the weekend. It was an adventure moving all their things from Campbellsville. But it’s done and peace reigns in my house once again
My parents house finally sold...bittersweet but a good thing. Now we’re looking for a nice little house for my mom.
Between helping the kids and my mom I’ve barely had time to read anything, much less post. Gonna be doing more of that the rest of the week...just not as intense
Sure have missed you guys though
Hope all are well

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites, Wildcats and Lurkers.
  • 54º in Johns Creek. Pretty morning.
  • Plumbers here this morning. A couple of leaks. ($225). I couldn't do it. I tried. Fail.
  • BB tomorrow at 1:00. Winthop.
  • Good to see Bev back on here. Missed her.
  • We're having TG here at our house.
  • Have a nice day.
  • Carry on.
Over my life I have grown to appreciate plumbers more and more every time I have a problem. They have saved my neck and a lot of expense and earn every penny they make.

Listen up, my D-League friend. Somebody's got to pay for the plane tickets, the rental car, the meals, the lodging - plus the down payment on the new home.

Alas. Another sad sign of advancing old age

Years ago when we were living in Memphis Dad gave us some deer steaks. I had no idea how to cook them so I fired up our charcoal grill. Well ......... that was not the way to cook deer steaks. We tried, but they were just too tough to eat. I dumped the whole batch of steaks in Scottie's food bowl. He ate and ate. It made him so sick. Poor little guy.

It has been over 10 years since I had thanksgiving dinner with my mother but the memories are ever present. My mother was very creative and an excellent seamstress. She loved making holiday spirit clothing for me and to my embarrassment sending me off to school. When I was in the first grade she dressed me up as a "pilgrim" and sent me off to school with a few of my buddies. I felt like crawling into a hole. But this is what mother's did in 1949.

Stop by whenever you can. You are missed.

You have to marinate deer steaks if you're going to cook them like that. No fat.

Monday the 26th.

We need him to give us an EXACT time. We need the exact time so we can keep Ymmot under control.

@Bkocats @ymmot31 @AustinTXCat

I might spend the night.

Take my word for it. Those gals weren't there. My wife was with me . . . I take her everywhere . . .
It's not that ASU girls are prettier, it's the sheer numbers and they never age. Like you, I've been married to the same woman for a long time, my case over 36 years. It's not at risk. As everyone married couple knows . . . it's a decision they make. I always ask my wife to go anywhere I'm headed. ALWAYS. Game, Live Music, Picnic, Fishing, Birding. She decides whether she wants to go and she's always welcome. Sometimes she doesn't go, usually does, sometimes only to drive my sorry ass home. It's her choice. I can uber or taxi if need be.

Warning: Young women having some fun.

Went out with Dad today. Last Tuesday he dropped his lower denture and broke it in half. We were at VA on Wednesday and I took it around to dental and they repaired it while we went to his appointment. Called me yesterday and he had broke it again. Took it back there today but the guy who does that stuff is off for the week. I ended up super gluing it together. I guess it worked out because we tested it with a brisket sammich from Arby's and it held together.

I'll send VA an invoice.

Supposed to be around 40° Saturday night for the game with light wind and a small chance of rain. Not too bad. If we're kicking ass at halftime then I'll stay and watch it happen, but if we're up by 3 or 6, then I'm outta there at the half.

When Forest Gump was running that time I didn't see any of these girls with him.
