49.5°F and rainy this morning.

My company got in a little before 10 pm and we talked till 1. Two old chemistry majors trying to outsmart each other. He has the advantage as he makes his living as Tuscon, AZ's water company's chemist.

I told him about Rooster keeping count of all the critters in Arizona. He told me his closest neighbors are red tailed hawks and rattle snakes. ;)

Hell, I could be a water chemist. Two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen. If you all need anything else, call me at the bar.

Good morning from Shawanee, TN. Currently 34°F. Partly cloudy. Expecting 59°F and perhaps a little rain. Yesterday afternoon was gorgeous here. I hiked a little bit, perhaps 2 miles. Visiting my granddaughter later this morning. Also traveling to Barbourville and Corbin later this morning for some banking.

Watched the game last night. Our Cats survived VMI. Defense needs help. Vols and Gators gonna eat us up in conference play if no changes are made.

I've got nothing else. Y'all behave.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites, Wildcats and Lurkers.
  • 45º in Johns Creek. Very pretty morning going.
  • The DM is very good.
  • Glad to see SC Cat back in town. We missed him.
  • Usually when you run into shooters like we did last night you lose. This win was a credit to our guys. We might need to step up on defense.
  • Bubba Parham is not VMI's best 3-ball shooter. How about that!
  • Have a very nice day.
  • I sure do enjoy this group.
  • Carry on.

Mornin' folks...wasn't a thing of beauty but I'll take the W.
Vacation day today. Not really doing anything, just nice to have an extended weekend. Plus I get Thur-Fri off, I bleeeve I can muddle through 2 days of work

Cats...pretty much same thing every year. (I will say the Bahamas trip kind of made me think they were going to be better than what they've shown). They'll have another bad loss or 2 - Cal will say we're young, learning to play together - RR will explode - grind out the season - Win SEC tournament = Elite Eight/Final Four.
Seems as if they are all still trying to figure out their role? PJ Quade & Reid (or is it Travis) need to step up and lead. You can still lead and not have all the PT. Just a matter of time, they'll get rolling & Cal will have a set sub pattern. Be patient...as always.
Just my 4 cents (used to be 2...inflation & all that)

My chiropractor appt. just got canceled...don't have to leave the house now!
I may start baking some alcohol & drink some cookies....;)

After I'm done with coffee...

Not my official duties but what I do best. I use my skills for Ag research. The fun part has become watching them struggle to automate me before I retire or die. Nothing wrong, no fixed date on either but they're worried cause it's my decision and I won't negotiate opinion, it's all about the evidence.

Hey Rooster, is Horseville really a city or just a nickname? I'm just asking because my son is transferring to Tempe and iwas just trying to reference the distance

:sunglasses: Adjacent . . . south of Horseville.
Nope. It market's itself as the west's most western town. I stole the location from a @DrH. Lecter Rafters post about Jarred Vanderbilt. Link
First stop in Tempe. Best of Phoenix

My wife's first AZ job was behind that mesquite grill! At 4' 10" she had to stand on a crate.

Everything looks wonderful.

Each time I go to a new page I am in anticipation of Rooster posting a train. When I click on it and it IS a train, I crack a big smile. I'm still smiling. Thanks Rooster! You make my world a better place.
You mean all those haven't been the SAME train? I'll have to go back and look more closely.

(Just kidding Rooster. I dig the train shots. I grew up in a C&O town - many of my friend's fathers worked in the train yards. The shrieking crash of freight cars being coupled is the soundtrack of my youth.)

I've eaten there. Wasn't really that impressed. Just OK.

  • There is a cold front passing through The air quality is excellent and we have two days until Thanksgiving
  • Coffee in the morning is a birthright.
  • I hope the Cats will be ready for UL this weekend. If we finish 9-3 that should bring us a nice bowl game and reward a season of hard work and some great moments. No matter what happens we beat Florida

Good morning from Shawanee, TN. Currently a lovely 43°F, which might be our high for the day. Should hit 25°F in by tomorrow morning. We also caught some light rain yesterday.

After visiting my granddaughter yesterday, I drove up to Barbourville and closed out the PNC bank account. Drove to Corbin and found out the local BB&T branch closed permanently. Considered driving to Harlan. Luckily, I called ahead. Harlan branch closed permanently, too. So, I drove to London and deposited the cashiers check.

Heading down to Knoxville later today. Should return by 5 PM or so. Must hit up Kroger tonight or tomorrow with daughter for Thanksgiving dinner shopping.

I've got nothing else. Y'all behave.

Morning D-Leaguers.

Yesterday we had a very rainy day. Today may be a lot better with sun and getting up to 43°F. It is 38° now so that is not a lot of improvement.

Thursday is Thanksgiving day, my favored holiday. Going to see the family except my daughters family as it is their year to be in Baltimore.

I enjoy the basketball yesterday. Auburn did not look like a top ten team.

Ymmot and Rooster this article may be right up you alley.

also a funny:

An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake..
He finds his way to a bar stool and orders some coffee.

After sitting there for a while, he yells to the waiter,

"Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?"

The bar immediately falls absolutely silent.

In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says,

"Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair,
considering that you are blind, that you should know five things:

1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.
2. The bouncer is a blonde girl. 3. I'm a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.
4.. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.
5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.

Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?"

The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters,

Hell No...not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times."
