My wife hits 60 on November 2nd. The family wants to throw a party. Fine by me BUT they want a surprise party. I hate surprise birthday parties. I'm now officially a grumpy old man.
same here. My bride turns 61 in November and she would love a surprise party but I'm the wrong guy to throw it..Hate em..My ex daughter in law threw us a 40th anniversary party. It was in a church gymnasium that I absolutely detest because its nothing more than a money seeking cult of which my BIL fully supports..Being there made it even worse and I let my DIL know how I felt about it..Parties seem to be more for others than who it was thrown for, with that I'm out on all of em...If that makes me an old man grouch, I will wear that title proudly..

- Good morning D-League from The City of Mermaids.
- It is a cool 59 degrees with a high today of 81.
- Out on the lanai drinking coffee in the darkness and you can see every star in the universe. Clear Southern skies are a sight to behold in the darkness.
- Well I am batching it this week as the wife and daughter are on a girls out trip to Memphis. Staying at the Peabody Hotel. I man needs some time alone at times and this is one of those times.
- Watching the news and I see a caravan of people coming from the South to crash our borders. Who is sponsoring these people and when is it ever going to end?
- Still enjoying what I saw last night in the Blue White game. We have 10 solid players and the starting five is going to be decided in practice. Our depth should be as good as we have had. But,
- Football season is getting into the meat of the schedule and important games are ahead.
- Hope we get the offense and passing game up to SEC standards by Saturday.

Oh yeah....stay positive, help is on the way. Basketball season....Ahhhhhh. That and our football team having success will ease the pain. Took Friday and today off because the bosses said that I had too many leave days accumulated. Supposed to be in the 70's today so, taking advantage of it and going fishing. Cut the grass and weeded the lawn yesterday just before game time. Got in, showered, and sucked down a nice cold one as the game started.
Speaking of surprise parties, wife hates them and is pissed for the rest of the day if I do it. Just take her out to dinner with daughter in tow and she is fine.

My whole life has been a surprise party. I never know what's going to happen next or who's going to show up.

Good morning league. 35 degrees here in good ole Eastern KY. Overslept and barely made it to work on time. Hate having to rush but hate it even worse if I’m late. Watching the Blue-White game had me excited. We have a dang good basketball team. Hope everyone has a good day.

Ace, I ordered it on line. The site had a lot of "roots" t shirts including one for Floridians who are UK fans. I have had it a few years but I would imagine it is still available. For those who may not have seen it here it what it looks like.

Good Morning D-league. Physical therapist arriving soon. Started about 4 weeks ago. My walking has improved as it must. Thursday heart-cath in the morning. I would love to get much better before January as My Wife Wanda will retire then. Just a good note she took her vowels seriously. She has been my life partner for 43 years and growing. Blessings to all and have a good day!

A hailstorm hit us out of nowhere yesterday afternoon. It was 80 degrees at the time. Lots of damage but none for me.
