“Everyone is a moon and has a dark side, which he never shows to anybody.”

“We stopped checking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside us.”

“Hell is empty. All the devils are here.”

“There are some secrets, which do not permit themselves to be told.

“There is something at work in my soul, which I do not understand.”

“I fear not the dark itself, but what may lurk within it.”

“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes.”

"The scariest monsters are the ones that lurk within our souls."

“Danger doesn’t lurk at every corner. It’s just hanging out, waiting for fear and horror to show up.”

Got the table down off the platform today but not without incident. I knew that when I let one end down to the floor it would push the other way and I thought I prepared for it. Nope. It fell a little bit but it didn't hurt the table at all. It's like a rock. I did end up breaking a sawhorse though.

I've got the top clamped on it and sawed to its final size. Also sanded the whole thing. Tomorrow I'll put the screws to it and mark where I need to cut holes for the eggs and rout out for the stainless steel insert.

Oh yeah, all 8 of the casters are touching the floor and it's pretty easy to roll. Happy with that because it means it is level and square.

This movie was originally rated X in 1974 (so was Midnight Cowboy in 1969). A midnight movie at the Vogue mainstay. It was so bad it was good. Funny good I mean.

Dark quotes. Anything you want to confess? Are you the 2nd shooter on the grassy knoll?

Happy, happy, happy............. my yard is mowed.
I finally finished. Hot and humid.

Ever seen a dog bite at lawnmower tires while you roll it and it's not running? Our English Shepherd is known for this. Take your hands off the handle and she acts like the mower is invisible. Crazy.

Good morning from ATX. Currently we've got a humid 78°F. Cold front and possible rain inbound. Finally some fall feel coming to the air. We hit 92°F yesterday afternoon.

Edit: Just found out the SEC fined UK $100,000 because fans stormed the field last Saturday. Ugh! That sucks.

Happy Hump Day.

Y'all behave.

Good morning everyone! Hope Y'all are doing good. It's hump day! Supposed to be 91 here today. To be a weatherman in this area has to be the easiest job in the world. All you have to say is " High in the low 90"s with rain tonite " lol. Hope everyone ailing starts feeling better. Will check in later after my Dollar store run. Everyone have a great day! GO CATS!

Good morning. A little more rain here this morning.

Bogus fine by the SEC, but a drop in the bucket all things considered.

Looks to be a sunny, warm, and dry weekend in these parts. Humidity is supposed to drop tomorrow.

Cal is in on a lot of guys for next year. We're going to be a freight train this year and it may very well keep rolling right on through next year. UMass women's record for consecutive wins might be in danger. [winking]

ESPN's FPI predicts outcome of Kentucky's remaining games.

vs. South Carolina: 46.3 percent
at Texas A&M: 21.5 percent
vs. Vanderbilt: 76.5 percent
at Missouri: 34.5 percent
vs. No. 2 Georgia: 14.6 percent
at Tennessee: 70.5 percent
vs. Middle Tennessee: 90.9 percent
at Louisville: 74.2 percent

It's been a fantastic ride so far. I personally believe Coach Stoops has Muschamp's number. Having said that, stay tuned.

I think so too Austin. Beat em 4 years in a row and I see no reason to stop now. I'm giving us losses at ATM and against Georgia but every other game is up in the air. 8 wins would be good for us but I feel we have ability to get 9 or 10. Good times.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites.
  • You all got a good night's sleep I hope.
  • We have 72º here in Johns Creek. We didn't get that rain, so we still need some.
  • 3 more days until kickoff.
  • Last night all of the IDMOs were on the downtown connector. 6 car pileup, 2 firetrucks and wreckers. No need in putting your turn signals on because these sumbritches just ignore them like they are on some kind of emergency. Tailgaters everywhere.
  • Happy Hump Day. Hope it goes by fast for you.
  • Take care everybody.
  • Carry on.

74°F, overcast and could rain any moment. As of this morning my rain gauge has measured 4.5" of rain since last Friday afternoon. We have reached ground saturation.

The black cherry and hackberry leaves are raining down on my back yard. The Bald Cypress out front is growing like a son of a gun. The cherry and hackberry trees know that fall is here.

On UK football, I re-watched the Central Michigan game last night and I had forgotten then talking about UK being 13th of 14 teams in the SEC. I hope that UK kicks some ass. Also I had forgotten how they continually over rate the ACC teams.

So I hear from a couple people at work that today is National Daughters Day. Never heard of it honestly, but always a good time to celebrate daughters. I have two and a granddaughter and they make my life so much richer. By the way, when I called them -- they'd heard of Daughters Day. So if the shoe fits, be advised...As to the obvious question, as far as I can find out there is no National Sons Day. I'll leave commenting on that to the Politics Thread. But I sent my son an encouraging note anyway.

My son is on his way home; flying into Lexington late tonight
He was discharged on a Chapter 511? His shoulder is jacked up. They said moderate to severe Tendinosis. He had a flare up of this back in July but it was okay to go at the August Drill.
Apparently he reinjured it during the Wall excercise. He did try to stretch it as per instruction but he started having numbness and weakness too. Sounds like a compressed nerve to me
Anyway he is unhappy that he’s not fit for duty but seems in good spirits anyway

I'm glad your son will be okay.

THE TABLE IS COMPLETED! All I have left to do is put the waterproofing on the top and I'm going back out to do that when my wife goes to bed.

Today I screwed the top down, cut the holes for the eggs, and routed out the area for the steel plate. I created an incredible amount of sawdust and wood chips today. Glad I didn't start cleaning up yet.

I don't when I'll be able to get it out of the shop, but it sure will look empty in there without it.

Hey congrats! Quite an accomplishment. I'll bet it looks great.

Thanks man! Speaking of accomplishments, I happened to notice today that the negative wire was pulled loose from a speaker. THE speaker that wasn't working. I put it back in there properly and the turntable played in stereo. It did still kind of cut out though when I turned it up. I need to get something to clean my albums with. What do you use?

I've got a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine. I think they're out of business but you can get excellent results without forking over that kind of cash. Believe it or not the old Discwashers are still around and do a fine job. Also, the dry brushes are great to use before playing an album. I have a Hunt Mark 6.

Ha, I had a Discwasher back in the day. Wherever it is I would say it has decomposed by now.
