The favorite son of Olive Hill. When I was a teenager in the 1970s we used to drive to Olive Hill because the older brother of my best friend knew a guy there who sold moonshine. It wasn’t Tom T Hall, and it wasn’t especially good moonshine but it got the job done.
We play next Saturday at 7 pm. Miss St. is a good team and I read something today about them being in the top 4. Hopefully the reason we beat Murray by only 38 is we were looking ahead to MSU. Bohanna should be good to go so that will help.
I used to get good moonshine back in the 90's. It came from Makers Mark and was the white dog that comes right off the still before it's cut. Used to get some good shine in Tennessee too from a guy at work. He made good beer and wine as well. He's probably dead now.

Temp and weather conditions are the same as yesterday and the day before. 75-90 and plenty of sunshine.
Our Cats are 3-0 and have a very important game Saturday. Win that one and we will know we have a very good team. We have a good team now but beating Miss State would put us over another hump.
I hope everyone has a great day, Monday's are always a little difficult for some. I woke up at 6:00 and my wife told me I had to take her car in for service this morning. She forgot to tell me so I am running around trying to get up to doing it. The dealership is 55 miles from here down in Clearwater. Married life is full of surprises but this is what we do.

Another Old Florida post card from the past. They tell me these pictures were shot in black and white and colorized for the cards. I am not an expert on post cards so I don't know. For a post card over 100 years old the colors are nice.

Hard time getting motivated to join the work force today.
My wife said, "Why don't you mark the date on a computerized calendar for when you want to retire. Then the computer program will count down the days and you'll see it every morning. It'll give you motivation. My brother did this and said it kept him focused."
I told her that was a good idea and I went and marked the calendar on a computer we share.
She catches me at the door and says, "You can't mark LAST FRIDAY."
In that case, I don't see the point.
I hope everyone else is having an energetic Monday.

Good morning all, Son and his wife are coming down this week to see old dad ( and mom ) lol. Always good to see them. Went to the movies yesterday with the wife and saw " Crazy Rich Asians" Highly recommend. It is a romantic comedy, which is the type of movie I usually don't watch, but i really enjoyed it.
My son married a girl from Hong Kong and we had the wedding there, and let me tell you, they know how to do weddings! The Chinese culture is really something to admire, they put family before ANYTHING. And really take care of there elders. And Hong Kong is the most fascinating place I've ever been to.
