D-League

Was playing golf one Saturday about 12 to 15 years ago and there was a scramble going on. Every fourth hole or so they had a portable bar set up plus Hooters girls riding around on carts with alcohol and snacks. It was a scene, man.

Anyway, after a while I asked someone who they were and what was the scramble about. Chick told me it was a Lutheran Church. If I were going to go to a church, I feel like that one would be a good fit for me. Respectfully speaking. Of course.

Do any of you use Spotify? There is a free version with ads and lower quality. The premium version for $9.99 a month is CD quality with no ads. Has about any music you can think of.
While I was watching golf I made you a thumb drive with 90 albums of southern and prog rock. That's all it would hold. I didn't put any Van Morrison on there but I have 25 albums of VM. All digital of course.

Big VM fan. Two of my favs are Too Long In Exile and The Healing Game.

I'm still with the "We don't smoke and we don't chew and we don't go with girls that do" crowd.

There are 15 Yes albums. I didn't even know they had that many. 15 Pink Floyd as well. I only got 4 Led albums on there and then ran out of room. I thought it was a 16 gig but it was only 8. If you want, or anyone else here for that matter, want to get at least a 1 TB external hard drive I will put all this music I have plus 400 or so movies. I think it takes about a day to transfer it all.
Don't go to the trouble ymmot. What you've put together is perfect!

Of all the things that are on that drive, I think my favorite is the Billboard Top 100. I have from 1956 through 2006. You can pick out a year and it's like you've gone back in time to listen to a top 40 station. I always find tunes that I loved at the time but have forgotten about.
Damn! That's some excellent options for tunes. Great music!

Heh.

I also went to church this morning.

I attended a large Methodist church here in the Phoenix area a few years ago. It was one of the most beautiful churches I've been in. I was searching for a church with a traditional worship service (hard to find out West). Very little of the gospel heard there. Never went back.

Could one be an evangelical Christian and serve as a pastor in the UMC?

I was, and it was very difficult. One lady told me that I didn't sound like a Methodist pastor, I replied, thank you very much. She didn't mean it as a compliment, but I took it as one. Kinda funny the l;ook on her face. FCC.

Good morning from the Sunshine State. :sunglasses: Current Temp 74 degrees with a high of 89. Plenty of sunshine but I have my clock set for a 4:00 afternoon shower.

Had a fun weekend over in St Augustine going back in time to 1513. They have a lot of new things over there, all history related and fun. I celebrated my 75th birthday by climbing all 268 steps to the top of the St Augustine Lighthouse. :cool2:. This ole boy is feeling good.

Now let's hit the pool for our morning swim. :okay:

Good Monday morning D.

Porch. Coffee.

3 days of freedom left. Color me sad. But it’s been a good break and a longer one than usual.

UK BB this week. What’s not to like about that.

Much to do.

Be safe all.

I got it set to record. I can't wait.

Enjoy your last three days, then it the ground running. Whip those kids into shape! :joy:
