Dad and I had a great time today. A little melancholy for awhile because I took him to see the tombstone. They just got it put in this weekend.
Picked up another pork belly today. Told him I'd bring some burnt ends for our Thursday adventure.
Also picked up a Makita magnesium hypoid drive circular saw today for $65. It's new and they sell for $159 on Amazon. Free shipping. Another piddler mall score.

Good morning. I've been doing stuff today. Got the belly on the egg and everything is good to go for the next 3 hours or so. Broke down and calibrated my dome thermometer today. I got to thinking on the last cook that I didn't really know the temperature since it had been two years since I checked it. I wasn't too far off from what I thought it was but now it is dead on. I'll set the one on the medium egg before I use it next because I don't even remember the fudge factor for that one.

then you need to get one. Best accessory I've purchased. Keeps temps more stable, gives a better more complete burn, makes separating ash and reusing charcoal much easier. Two thumbs up! It's called a Kick Ash Basket.
Please tell him you are joking. I love being able to get all my Wildcat info right here in the D and not have to scour the web for it. If we were limited in "likes", I would save all of mine for him.
