Happy birthday, Bert! I just hope I make it to 72. Thing is, no male in my family has ever made it past 76. I’m good with it tho.

Thanks Ghost. It gets scary knowing you are on the down side; however, the important thing is to make it a good ride. My dad died at 73, my sister at 53 and my mom at 89. So I have some bad and good genes. I have better doctors than they had. I work on the doctor side.

Going to be a wonderful day for me. I get my heart checked out at 4pm and the yard must be mowed before I see the doc.

It is time that Jedwar felt a little for an old 72 year old man and come mow my yard a couple times a week. Hell it ain't really that far!

Dad and I had a great day today. He was feeling good and was in a great mood. Picnic went well and we decided to do it more often. Next time we'll have barbecued pork. I like the ribs in the instant pot but there is no real substitute for fire.

Let's just say for a second that our tax money was spent responsibly and we paid our elected officials what they are actually worth and not what they have decided they are worth. Our individual tax bills would be about $2.13 per person.

Good morning! I had plans for today and thought I would finish my speakers so they would be dry enough to bring in the house tomorrow. Nope. Wife called in sick this morning and now who knows what I'll be doing?

I'm not really complaining though. She's already made and brought me coffee. Breakfast shouldn't be too far behind.

Working today but, emails are down so, anything anybody wants me to do must be done the old fashioned way, bring it to my office. Not sure the younger generation knows how to do that. Cutting grass when I get home this afternoon.

Taking wife out for 18th wedding anniversary tomorrow for lunch, then going to an old Drill Sergeant buddy's house in the evening for his birthday. He calls it a Pow Wow, he is Native American.

Sunday.......fishing in the morning, napping the rest of the day to prepare for Monday.

Yeah this time around I think I am going to make it. First one was 10 years and I was 13 years in the Army and she got tired of me being gone. Was a Drill Sergeant when she started fooling around with 4 other guys (It took that many to replace me.) I decided that I would not marry again until I was out. Ten years later I got remarried. Told this one I was on the 10 year plan and she had better prepare herself. Did not work out that way.

<--------------------------That is me and her last December at our daughter's 12th birthday party. She's taller, smarter, much better looking than me, 16 years younger, and makes more money than I do. Good reason to take it past the ten year plan.
