D-League

Performing one of those small unpleasant chores tonight that keep a marriage humming along -- watching the Tony Awards with my NYC raised wife who loves musical theatre.

UPDATE: good for my wife. She shut off the show in disgust as the political nonsense became intolerable. The entertainment world has become unbearable. The smug elitist nonsense is childish and ludicrous.
Read where De NIro pandered to the crowd again. Ugh. I used to really like the guy. He played in some of my favorite movies, The Deer Hunter, Godfather II, Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, etc.. Now he's just a bitter ass.

Good morning. Got plenty of sleep. Put in 12 hours in the workshop yesterday but 3 of them were just listening to tunes on my new speakers. Spent about an hour fixing the problem on the first speaker. Left off a couple of wires.

Got it fixed and fired it up. Wow! Sounded great. I cranked it up a little at a time and made sure each driver was playing and then my phone rang. My wife was calling from the house to ask if I had the speakers going. I told her I had one of them playing. She could hear the music in the house with the windows up and the tv on. Haha.

The second one went together much easier than the first because I already knew what needed to be done and didn't have to figure it out as I went. With both of them playing I was amazed that I was hearing things in the music that I had never heard before.

They will only sound better after I get the coating on them and they break in some more. I'm very pleased with these because I had my doubts at times. I'm about $280 into these at the moment and the performance is ridiculous for that price point. Recommend.
Well done! Enjoy!

You guys are making me laugh tonight I must be tired. Spent 5 pm to 7:45 pm helping teach Karate at a dojo about an hour away from where I live. Started on my way home when a local cop pulled me over for doing 40 in a 30. Did the regular yes sir no sir 3 bags full and drove away with a warning. I think he saw my karate pants and got scared.:fistbump:

Good morning. Leaving out before long to pick up Dad. We've got two appointments today. Picking up new hearing aids and having an ultrasound done on carotid artery. Someone noticed a problem while doing an MRI on his shoulder.

Thursday we can get back to our regularly scheduled adventure. We went out this past Sunday for a few hours to make up for appointments last week. They run in cycles

Mornin' D. Not sure we have any hockey fans in the League, but I'll be able to glimpse the Stanley Cup from my office windows if I'm of a mind to today as the Champion's Parade comes through DC. I have been using this to needle my few Canadian friends -- the whole nation of Canada combined hasn't won the Cup since 1993. I call them the Hoosiers of Hockey but they don't get it.

Based on the crowd on the subway today heading in for the parade, you can lose teeth just being a fan of hockey.

Rick Gorman was a fine person. What a guy. A lot of people surly miss him.

CSX was considering selling Corman the branch line serving Logan Aluminum in Russellville (an old Alcan facility). I was to meet Rick at the plant. His secretary calls me and asked what my travel plans were. I told her my flight into Nashville. She said don't rent a car, our guy will pick you up at the gate.

I got off the jetway and there was a guy with a sign "Higginbotham". I walked over, and we introduced ourselves. He walked me out to the tarmac and he showed me his helicopter. Just a few minutes later we were landing at Logan Aluminum. That is the best delivery I have ever hate.
