- We had a toonder storm this afternoon. It rained like a CPOAFR for about 30 minutes. Everything is still wet.
- We had a party for our little 6-2 soldier boy. It was a happy time. Everybody was there. It was sad too saying goodbye put a lump in my throat. He is such a good young man. This is going to take some getting used to.
We've only put ice in it once. Put a bag in it Saturday and still had ice Wednesday morning. Didn't check it for a few days after that and it was room temp water.
Me too. Wonder how many people mowed their grass today and had a cold beer?

Good morning. Ate donuts for breakfast and I'm working on my coffee as hard as I can without burning myself too badly.
Belmont today. 1.5 miles is a very long race. I don't know if Justify can hold them off at that distance. I'm going to include him in my bets, but he might not be my favorite. I'll get to studying up on it later today.

75° F here and it could get hot. I am going to try to mow.
I feel that Justified will not win the Belmont as that mile and a half stops many Derby and Preakness winners.

First two legs of the crown was on a sloppy track, today it will be fast. He starts out on the rail and if they don't pin him there I like his chances a lot, but I still would not bet the farm..

Morning D. Off to check on the progress of the repairs to the car my wife wrecked. I'm going to talk to the body shop manager about a volume discount. My wife's driving would make that a smart play. I haven't had a wreck - my fault or otherwise - since 1982. I guess I'm just lucky. Sorry BKO if that seems sexist. My wife is superior to me in many respects but driving isn't her thing.
She did run me into the ground this morning. Eight miles in the DC humidity. I was staggering by the end and she was still cantering like a Thoroughbred.

Just helped a captain's family get their passport paperwork submitted yesterday for Italy. They called close to closing time but, he was headed TDY for 2 months starting tomorrow and they leave for Italy mid August so, I stayed open to help them. I told him he owed me a case of Italian beer when he got there and he was ready to comply. Had to let him know I was joking but, he was still wanting to do it.
- #3 just dropped in for another goodbye. He loves to surprise me like that. He's gone for sure now. Has to pick up his big brother. They have grown up right before my eyes. 26 & 24. Now I am sad again. Damn.
