Good morning. Memorial Day again. It's on for the next 4 months.

I didn't see any talk about it leading up to the race and I didn't see a single car this year. I don't guess I would have known who won if I hadn't seen it here. What happened to the Indy 500? Is it just because we have so much more to occupy our time now?

75° F and overcast. It looks like the clouds are from the tropical storm down in the gulf.

My parents always called Memorial Day "Decoration Day". Dad’s grandfather fought in the civil war so it was really close to him. So today I will take my flowers to the various cemeteries.

Also, I am big into FindAGrave. It is free web site connected to Ancestry.com and is a wonderful tool to track where your family is buried.

For ten years I held a public office. I put a lot of energy into cemeteries, especially the one in my home town. I raised over $100,000 for Smiths Grove's Cemetery. I love that place. Take a look at FindAGrave if you have a moment. If you can’t find your folks burials on there, then please add them.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites.tears
  • Have a good Memorial Day.
  • 72º in Johns Creek. Overcast. Light rain at times.
  • Lola is right here on my ottoman sacked out. She couldn't understand why we didn't go bye-bye this morning. J.R.'s is closed for Memorial Day. She loves to go with me.
  • I went to bed at 2030. Saving Private Ryan was on the TV about 6 times.
  • SPR was the last movie that we saw in a theater. Grown men came out of there in tears. I won't do that. I was wrong. It was moving. I thought it was too realistic. Just hated that little coward.
  • Have a nice off day. Be safe.
  • Carry on.

Yep. Decoration Day. We used to have a semi family reunion picnic in an old cemetery on Decoration Day.

I made a sausage egg and cheese sandwich about a half hour ago and I'm stuffed. At least a six ounce patty. Ribeyes on the grill later.

My weight to height ratio is 3lbs/in. Doesn't get me in much trouble because I strive to keep my velocity at around 0ft/sec.

been watchin "ER" on Hulu...season 15 is the last. They play many songs I've never heard of, but this song really jumped on me. Makes me wonder how many lives it hits home with...Crank it up, get a beer, listen to words and enjoy.love the raspy voice..the ER version was more up tempo, but this still sounds awesome...IMO
