Man, the rookie class must have been worse than I thought for Jade Cargill to get it. I don't have a ton of issue with the rest of the list. Roman/Bloodline probably deserved something for carrying the company during an otherwise meh year.

Also, Kudos to Britt for making huge strides this year, but she is still pretty far behind Becky/Charlotte/Sasha if I am ranking female workers.

Looked at the PWI rankings. OTher than Rok-C, there wasn't much competition on the women's side. Don't know if ROH is big enough to qualify someone for Rookie of the Year though, and she was really only there for half the year. In the men's rankings, looks like you'd have to dip into the 200s to find someone in one of the bigger promotions for the first time.

Don't know what the guidelines are for qualifying for Rookie of the Year are as far as experience goes. I imagine Bron Breakker's 13 matches last calendar year weren't enough to qualify, wonder if he'll qualify for next year? Hook will be in the running too if they count 2022 as his rookie year. He only had two matches in 2021 and they were in December.

Rampage was amazing tonight. WWE needs to step up their game fast.
That would mean taking away from their top promoted product - commercials.

It was a pretty good card, I went in thinking it was a pretty uninspiring card but it ended up being pretty good.

High: Watching Penelope Ford excitedly jumping up and down on the apron while urging her tag partnerto tag her back in. Dat ass is fine.

Low: When Statlander tried to pin Penelope Ford after some big move and Ford has her eyes wide open staring outside the ring, not showing any effect from the move, just waiting for 2 1/2 to kick out. Took me out of the match.

Dat ass is still fine tho.

I don’t think Penelope has much of a future left with AEW. She’s fine as hell, don’t get me wrong. But a lot of OG 3yr contracts are coming up and if TK was a smart man, he’s going to let a lot of them run their course.

She's one of the few that gets semi-regular Dynamite/Rampage TV time, and she was involved in one of the better women's matches in recent memory with that tag team street fight. In fact it tied for the second highest rated women's match for an American promotion last year and tied for the fifth highest of the last five years. So at the moment I don't see her being let go.

If she was on the card tonight, she has a future. Except for the guy they put up against Spears, everybody on the card tonight has a future in AEW, otherwise they would not be featured.

There's a lot of dead weight, but you need to be looking at Dark and Elevation for it, not Dynamite or Rampage.

I saw that too - way too obvious. Despite the 10/10 ass and tits, she needs to do better.

Off topic- when the Bucks and Cole split, who goes face? I think Cole is much better as a face and the Bucks are better heels. Hopefully they go in that direction.

Is that voted on by fans?

It's tough to say, everyone in THe Elite is good as a face or heel. Britt Baker and the reformed Undisputed Era are well liked even as heels so it would be easier to transition them to faces.

So I see Roman said the N word on Smackdown last night. I’m still waiting for the same outrage and racism claims that were thrown at tk and AEW. Funny it’s not there this yet some weird ass e drones have posted in every single tweet TK has made since the Swole comment, telling him to apologize.

And of course she didn’t miss her chance to weigh in. Though it’s odd she doesn’t seem too offended by this one.

I didn't even notice that on the broadcast and had to listen a few times to make out a garbled n word.

Rick rude likes this…

“Son of the Sun” Leo Sparrow (Nick Sanders) had a busy week.

Sparrow is one of the few wrestlers in history to appear on two national wrestling programs in the same week. Many of you will recall that Sparrow was the person who wrestled Omos in a squash match on WWE Monday Night Raw.

Sparrow also made an appearance on AEW Rampage. As seen below, he was seen in The Acclaimed’s music video. The diss track was about Sting and Darby Allin to hype the upcoming tag team match on AEW Dynamite. Sparrow, Anthony Bowens, and Max Caster all trained at Brian Myers and Pat Buck’s Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Long Island, NY

That’s because there is no N word.
Need to get your ears checked because it’s definitely said. He said it quieter and tried stopping him when he got to the last letter.
So Corey Graves got cleared to wrestle again - never saw him wrestle - is this a big deal?
No. I looked up stuff on him this week and he was apparently so bad that the crowd chanted for him to go back to where he came from during his debut match in roh. And I’ve seen claims that he maybe the worst wrestler to ever make it to wwe. Some think he was only signed because he’s tats were similar to Punks so they signed him after seeing punks popularity.

So wwe made some comments about that no dq womens match AEW had a week or two ago. This is coming from the same people that have had Baszler bite a neck and half blood all in her mouth and edge giving blood baths. Idiots.

The women didn’t seem amused either.

Have y'all noticed the current "youth movement" of pretty much AEW-grown stars holding the championship belts in WWE? Hangman, Britt Baker, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy, Jade Cargill, Sammy Guevara (although Cody has claim too), Ricky Starks. Kinda decimates that tired and wholly inaccurate narrative that AEW is comprised of and reliant on former WWE talent.

So this is probably why roh did the “invasion” - save money but still have their “product”

Bryan Alvarez on WOR says ROH will just be focusing on the 3 top titles (Mens, Womens, Tag) & the champions can defend wherever, and ROH will get the rights to air those show on Sinclair, starting probably in March.

All other titles are on ice for the time being.

I like Ali. Dude can work. Really enjoyed the matches he had with Ricochet a couple years ago.

I know this. But an earlier poster said it was pathetic that WWE doesn’t have enough women on the roster to fill the rumble. I was pointing out that it would make no sense to do so.
In previous Rumble matches has WWE had to go outside the company to fill so many spots? That's my point.
