I never went to a show that was in a high school gym or parking lot with so few people yet, that was a staple for indie wrestlers. Daniel Bryan once did a show in a Walmart parking lot. 😂

There’s a segment of wrestling fans that are just bottom barrel losers. They’re the idiots who hijack shows, throw stuff and curse with zero regard, consume dirtsheets like they’re the gospel, do nothing but bitch instead of just simply let a story be told and enjoy a show.

You see these types of just weird nuts at shows and WrestleMania Axxess type stuff.

It’s why going to the Louisville gardens was fun, even into the mid 90s because they were the diehards that “still believed” for those two hours. There were no chants, besides “go Jerry go”, people bitched out the heels, etc

I remember when the nwa came back a couple years back, people were saying “oh it’ll be an old school crowd”….wrong. It was cheering for big moves, you didn’t really know the good and bad guys. They would play up to the crowd if they hit a big move (and if it was a bad guy, not in a condescending play up…a “you see that move” play up)

I am looking forward to the show tonight. I haven't been to wrestling in almost 25 years. In Your House in 1997 was my last time.
I quit watching wrestling for about 15 years because of Katie Vick. It takes a lot to offend me but that did.

I'm guessing Orton is still hurt because he wasn't there. It ended up being Riddle versus Styles.

I'm also wondering if Dominick might not be hurt. There were only 2 tags in that match on that team. Dom started and was in maybe 2 minutes. Tagged to Rey and he must have been in for about 15 minutes. Tagged to Cena and he was only in the ring for a few minutes to get the pin. I would have thought they would have had Dominick take all the punishment.

I enjoyed last night’s show. Crowd was into it. Matches were solid. Wrestling is better with a live crowd.

Yes......the interraction on social media and the number of views Punk/Bryan related videos are getting right now speaks for itself. Casual fans love Bryan and Punk. I have friends who don't know shit about wrestling who know who Punk is. I told one frined "CM Punk is showing up on AEW" at some point.....he said he had no clue what AEW is but he wants to have a watch party for the All Out PPV when I told him thats when he will probably show up. We do these watch parties for UFC PPVs as well. Just because you don't like Punk doesn't mean hes not a draw. Outside of Brock or Cena he is the biggest draw anyone could get.....and he may be bigger than Brock in terms of pure wrestling fans.

You forget this is the guy who overtook Cena in merchendise sells in the middle of Cena's prime. There are UFC fans who like him simply because of his mic skills.

You're using the Jim Cornette rhetoric where "everything in wrestling sucks and no ones a draw"........get over yourself dawg no one wants to hear that shit. We like wrestling. Punk is one of the biggest stars we've had over the last 20 years. People are excited. Let mother ****ers be excited and stop raining on the parade. I always like to gage my friends that used to watch and get their reactions. I sent messages to ten of them and asked if Punk and Danielson would make them watch again. Nine have answered so far and one said maybe. The rest said “naw”.
