Not Mr. Perfect, Mr. Wonderful
Reason #874,393 why social media is one of the worst inventions of all time.Politics aside I think social media has a lot to do with some of those problems discussed above and it makes fans feel like the talent is more attainable than before - take for example some dweeb on Twitter talking smack to Alexa bliss and body shaming her - stuff like that didn’t happen years ago because there was a clear line between fans and talent but social media has blurred that completely

If she isn't in therapy she probably needs to be.
What a loser! This is what she was replaying to but I think it’s just incoherent ramblings of a crazy person.
That’s probably some goofball with 10 Twitter accounts and felt the need to get under her skin then delete the tweet but ya what a loser - prob best thing to do is ignore them b/c that’s the kind of attention they are seeking. What a loser!
Lol, I’m sending to himWas watching AEW on my DVR again earlier and my fiancé who knows little to nothing about wrestling watched part of it. She said, “What is this? Is this the wrestling your buddy is in over at the civic center? Why is this on TV?” Watching Raw and she just said “this looks so much more professional that what you had on earlier.” I think she’s been eavesdropping my Cornette podcasts or can just see good wrestling vs outlaw bullshit.
He will appreciate that!Lol, I’m sending to him
He will appreciate that!
I agree 100%. Every wrestler there aside from the ones who have been in the "big leagues" know what to do (although not always executed properly) but they have no clue how to tell a story behind it. They pull moves out of the blue in matches that make no sense for the spot at hand. As you said, they have forgotten the art of selling which deem the majority of the moves useless or ineffective. It's like when they went to school, it was at High Spot University but they completely forgot the psychology course which makes up the success of any and all wrestling matches.I have guy on ignore in this thread who’ll say I’m lying (we know who it is), but I have several friends (not even Cornette listeners) that have tried to watch AEW and they ALL say the same thing, lol (no selling, it’s like a video game, the guys look like kids). They all say it.
it’s funny: one of the reasons I never liked wrestling video games is the lack of selling. It all went back to 89. Myself and a friend renting that old nwa Nintendo game from an old Road Runner video store. I didn’t know what “selling” meant then, but I “got it”, and it was pushing buttons and getting back up. I hated it.
the only thing I’ve done with wrestling video games is help our son use the create a wrestler in the wwe games.
If true and if MJF rejects him, will MJF be branded an intolerant homophobe?*You all are mistaking no-selling a move with a last-gasp reflexive countermove before the wrestler sells/continues to sell, such as a kickout or a quick pop-up after a strong move with a countermove before collapsing and selling.
I don't know. You either like the product AEW puts out, or you don't. But I think it's more an aversion to the personalities (and some ageism thrown in).
I'm 50 years old, and enjoy the AEW product. Watched wrestling in the early to mid '80's, lost interest, rekindled interest in the mid-to-late '90's and a little in the 2000's then kind of followed wrestling from afar for a couple decades, checking in periodically, until AEW set up shop. Just think it's fun.
*Forgot to mention a few weeks back, I liked the very exaggerated kickouts of Brock Anderson, like he as a rookie needed all his strength to be able to break the pin of the stronger/more experienced wrestlers.
*The Varsity Blonds officially signed with AEW yesterday (they weren't already)?
*Per some social media posts of Max Caster, he is apparently infatuated sexually with MJF. Like, not kayfabe (I don't think), for real.
True but most of them were 10 times the wrestlers that these muscled up guys and high flyers today are. When I think of wrestlers of the '70's and early '80's, I think of men with beer bellies. Not that there weren't men like Tony Atlas around, but physique was just not as important. Nowhere near the cut and chiseled muscular physique of most wrestlers today (which is one way I think Hulk Hogan changed wrestling).
So far MJF has been the one guy who can cross lines other people can’t and seems to get away with it. Stuff like flipping off and cussing out little kids at meet and greets. Nearly anyone else today would be shredded online but he gets mostly praise for it.If true and if MJF rejects him, will MJF be branded an intolerant homophobe?
Hey, let's watch that less entertaining than Nia Jax stuff.Jesus Christ! There is absolutely nothing in wrestling worse than the Young Bucks. They are less entertaining than Nia Jax. Anyone who likes these idiots need to jump head first off of a building. Omega is worse than dick cancer and he is stone cold Steve Austin compared to these two circus midget pieces of shit.
