I personally think Okada is the best in the world and has been for a number of years. Had everyone thinking Kenny was a superstar.

At work a couple years back, I was helping this girl with a project. I hadn’t told her any of my wrestling leanings, but she mentioned she worked at Hot Topic as well. I asked her about the Bucks, etc shirt and she said everyone hated them because no one bought them and they took up space. She said it was every store she knew of.
Things must be really bad for the WWE because the women coming out with Lashley the last 2 weeks have been mostly dog ugly.
Whenever njpw started airing on axs the first match I saw was Okada and tanahashi - had never really been familiar with them but I came away very impressed and ya I do think Okada deserves every bit of praise that comes his way.

No need to make stuff up. It’s pretty well known that the BC/Elite shirts (bucks/Kenny/Cody specifically) sold like hot cakes in those stores. It’s why Hot Topic put them in all stores nationwide after just a short time in select store.

How does a full grown adult mark out for a b-rate wrestling promotion so hard? AEW suffers from lazy booking and trying to recycle stuff WWE did 25 years ago. I want them to do well, but placing the Balding Bucks and little Kenny at the top of the card ain’t it.
My take on Omega is shared by many wrestling fans who think the modern product is garbage compared to the eras we grew up in. The bucks are worse than him. Their matches resemble me playing a wrestling video game with a created character - high spot after high spot, smash over strong. Repeat.

I'll try to answer that. I like the product. Just about everything has been done before in wrestling, no matter what the angle you can point back to someone else who did something similar previously. That's true in the WWE just as much as AEW. So that's not really a legitimate criticism.
Also, I think we had this discussion recently about how people get upset because so-and-so used the Stunner (or insert whatever move) and that's SCSA's (or insert corresponding wrestler's) move, but don't recognize that while it may be his signature move and he made it famous, the move was around and used by other wrestlers before him. He didn't invent it. He doesn't own it. Other wrestlers can use the move. Within feds, there's good reason to limit a move to one wrestler who uses it as a signature move, but that doesn't in any way preclude other wrestlers in other feds from using the move.
Yes, Kenny Omega and the Bucks are being pushed, and they are not your thing. That's fine. Me, I can't watch WWE, just doesn't interest me, it always seems juvenile, and the "enhancing" camera work is dizzying. I like the faster, more energetic and acrobatic style of AEW, and I like the wrestlers they are nurturing and building up.
Really, though, the bottom line is you say potaytoe, I say potahtoe. Just because you don't like it, you shouldn't insult or demean people for liking what they do. Even if we are talking about Zay, who is so pro-AEW that I can see why people would think he is a paid shill.

When they first start touring, I guarantee Cody will be the first one out, cut a promo about how the world stopped, but now it's coming back stronger than ever, yadda yadda, and the crowd will pop hard. I'm not a fan of what Cody is doing in AEW, but mark it. This is exactly what's gonna happen. In fact, on Sunday night, I would almost gurantee Cody's match will be on first and when he beats Agogo, he'll raise the American flag and and get that full crowd buzzing.

Cody ain’t beating Ogogo. But I do think he will continue to be cheered unless he turns. Live crowds love him.

I’m by no means a Cena fan and super Cena is one of the things that ruined my interest in wwe but he is infinitely more popular and famous than the buckz will ever be so anytime they take a shot or make fun of someone like him it comes off as juvenile and envious of his fame and again taking a shot at wwe but I’m sure their small base loves it.
