It’s his MO, just look at his last two positions and what transpired, he’s one of the most egotistical, righteous, and self absorbed coaches in all of sports. He will leave, as alway, on his terms, the media will sing his praises when the time comes and continue to reference our fan base’s unrelenting expectations…and the challenges expected for a new coach.

I don’t like Cal but I can’t imagine he is sabotaging the program. Seems like it would suck for his resume.

Then again, he will have all the money he ever needs.

🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

So long as he leaves i dont even care. A good coach/recruiter will fix that in 2 years.

My papaw told me once “when you mess with $hit you end up with it all over you”. Well Cow is the same guy he’s always been. He had several good teams funneled to him and now it’s over. He can’t coach and now with NIL he has no advantage.

Good post but I have to disagree with some of what you said. I used to live and die with UK basketball. However; I whiffed on Triple C. I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread but that idea died quickly. He had a good run but things changed. We are now in the worst shape in our history and he’s laughing all the way to the bank. He hates the majority of BBN, doesn’t care about winning in college, and rubs it in BBN’s faces with his ‘players to the NBA’ fetish. I’m over him but really sad that UK basketball has gone to hell and he’s loving every minute of it.

Resume? At this stage in someone's life, the age he is, you think he cares about a "resume"? The guy doesn't need a resume for anything. Now if you meant "legacy", well his legacy is getting as many kids into the NBA as possible, program success at UK be damned. He's proud of that legacy.

He better not. It will never be forgiven and will go down in infamy with Sutton and Gillispie… title or not. Nobody, not even Rick (they very embodiment of arrogance), can come close to how Cal has acted in recent years. Dude is way more vindictive than many realize. If he doesn’t soften his exit, then BBN will loathe more than love him. I’m not saying this is right or wrong, just saying it will be the case.

Interesting. I haven't read about this.

Cal has a track record. We knew it, as did everyone else, but we took the chance anyway. It paid off in the short term, but unfortunately things that go up must come down and here we are. What makes matters worse is that our brilliant AD made another critical mistake and now you gotta pay the devil his dues.

Cal is still the best coach in college basketball, hands down. He has a plan. He knows his freshman can dominant. They are not premadonnas. Not a bunch of goody tissues this bunch. Quit trying to make Cal the escape goat here. He the man. You know it, I know it, everyone know it. Wait til you see the fast paste offense he throws out there. Every one of the fools on this board who have a probably with Cal will problem feel like douche bags soon enough. People on this board hive me the chills, and not in a good way. This will be the best 19-0 team to start the season you’ve ever seen on the hardwood. Everyone of you doubters will be gobbling up these freshman’s jerseys in an Applebees parking lot by end of the season. No joke, I saw Dilly in an elevator in Patterson Office Tower just yesterday and he’s at least two inches taller than listed. And free throws - don’t worry about it - I gave him some pointers to share with the team - they will be lighting up the charity stripe at 90% this year. Fools. All of you are fools.
