And the link he posted was just some news aggregator. The actual study linked in the “article” in no way, shape, or form supported his “thesis”. It looked at two groups of people randomly sampled from 11 different health care facilities. One group that tested positive for COVID and one that didn’t. It broke down different activities they reported within 14 days of their test (positive and negative). Both groups wore masks most or all of the time, but the people who tested positive also went out to eat, went shopping, had close contact with COVID positive people, etc.Again. Read his link. He did not.
This is from the 2nd paragraph of his link:
“As for masks, we all know that prevents you from spreading the virus to other people. However, it does not prevent non-mask wearers from spreading the virus to you”
At this point it’s not even about trusting actual science. It’s about not being able to objectively read a published study and draw a valid conclusion from it. Objective reality is under attack.
One of my favorite authors is Philip K. Dick, and most of his novels and short stories dealt with the concept of not being able to discern reality from delusion (he was most likely schizophrenic and definitely a heavy drug user). 2020 is like a PKD novel that we’re all trapped in.
