This was a job that was setup by a booster and has went on for from what others have said 15-20 years across multiple sports. A change in admins brought out the problem. Wright is suspended too. Looks like at least one more. It may not make it right that it's went on this long or that a booster is responsible, but it is ridiculous to suspend them now.
These comments are why JRow and MJ didn't want to report anything. Along with the family right act they may have not been able to either

Here’s my problem. If he messed up bad he needs some sort of punishment. But him setting out punishes the team and the fans. I know that’s how it works but it ducks to go to Florida without him.

That's why I don't think the hospital rumor is true. Ultimately insurances companies are the ones paying and I think it would be fraud. Already said it wasn't a legal issue. Honestly that would be a big deal and deserve a suspension. I think he just got lazy with his paperwork, didn't get it in on time, kid stuff. Which falls more under category of not being a suspendable offense.

It is a disciplinary issue being handled by the University, which means the University is prohibited by law from publicly sharing the details of the situation unless Rodriguez gives the University permission to do so.
