A little premature, imo, to crown him starter based on today's performance, as good as it was. If he's going to stand flat footed in the pocket with the ball at his waist, we'll see a bunch of strip sacks.

If CMS brings in another clip board holding retread and doesn’t use this opportunity to develop Boley as our QB of the future then he deserves what he gets.
I never said YOU called for Gavin. But several posters were. Our hopes for a bowl are likely over but if you’re a person who cares about winning then I think you should start the best qb that gives you the best chance to win. I’m not a mail it in kinda guy
Wimsatt should never see the field...ever, at QB. Boley clearly better than Brock . Online is horrible. Online coach is horrible. Fire him and bring in better online and the quarterbacks will look a world better. Couldn't stand the guy past time he was here Bamas online got worse while he was there. Can't believe they hired him back. I knew it everyone knew it, but they hired him...again that has been the biggest issue the last 4 years. No oline coach worth a damn
Don't think BV is healthy, should've skipped this game. Ran OK but arm/shoulder looked weak, that's why he was underthrowing receivers.
Agree. Definitely not healthy and took no practice reps all week. Should've stuck with the plan and rested him.
I love his mindset but hes too tough for his own good imo. Levis was at least built like a tank. Brock is way too small to play that reckless.
I like what I saw from Boley and outside of BV first two throws I think he throws nice balls if given sufficient time - unfortunately he plays behind what possibly is the worst pass blocking oline in the history of D1 Football

The potential downside is Boley proves he's not ready and both Brock and Wimsatt transfer. Now what? Another gamble on a portal QB who may not be an upgrade at all? I'd be willing to give Boley a series here and there the next two games to see how he is against a team with a pulse, but I wouldn't take the chance that the QB room is completely bare for next season.
If Boley proves he's not ready, why would the others transfer? Regardless, not having anyone else is completely on the staff. Net, that doesn't bother me. Can we do worse in the portal?
